I am also full of admiration for the way this very polite young woman is providing an excellent public service by correcting these petty tyrants, and literally proving her point with a copy of the specific relevant legislation. However, sometimes it’s necessary for the other approach of allowing them to fall into the legal traps of their own making. Ignorance can often be cured, but it is actually the responsibility of all of us to cure our own. Peace

Manchester Freightliner Terminal page doesn't address visitor/pedestrian access but does list toilet facilities as terminal services. Ace is correct, should modify pedestrian signage if staff only and where visitors are to report. What if a driver forgot their lunch or spare glasses and family member were dropping items off and met with rude security? Great video Ace! ⭐⭐⭐

I’ve watched many audits and all I can say is what a pathetic, paranoid,utterly clueless set of individuals seem to be the “type” employed on these kind of industrial estates. As a small business owner myself, I would welcome any such interaction, but am so so glad I don’t have the misfortune of employing any such individuals. To be honest for most of them I think sharpening a pencil would fizzle their minds!

I doubt he works 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. £100,00 sounds like a bloody bargain, to me. If they're manning the site 24/7 they'll need at least 3 guards and an auxiliary to cover holidays/sickness etc. 56 hours a week x £10.42 x 52 weeks x 3 guards = £91,029.12 20 days holiday (£125.04 x 20 = £2,500.80) x 3 guards (£7,500.40) Total basic spend on security = £98,531.52

If anyone wanted to "case the joint". They'd be dressed appropriately. Although I'm no longer working as an HGV driver. (for health reasons c/o Covid ) I still have my old uniform and high vis stuff. And could easily pass as a delivery driver, in this shared space. They'd look at me and wrongly assume, that I'm delivering to another air freight company. Especially when I've delivered to these type of companies before. Even the Manchester airport itself. lol I've even delivered, directly onto the apron at Manchester Airport, when they were building Runway Two.
