The way I get around HIPPA is by introducing myself as a Peer Support Specialist (State and license # ) representing (son's name here) and they open up completely! It's not a lie, I just have to remember not to slip and drop the M-Bomb (mother). I'm also a freelance writer. Thanks for reminding me to get back to the niche and pitch.
