I used Snowl even before the Barrier Statue ban. It's a great card, the problem was never that it's bad it's that it's redundant. Almost everything it does is something another, better card does too. The only unique thing about it is the piercing damage. I hope they get another good big bird soon.

Wasn't the problem with snowl before, that you either lost before you got to that point or completely shut your opponent out with the barrier statue? Idk xD I like that card too, it's like a Ultimate conductor tyranno for floo. Dino is my fav deck xd

@@rastafari2k3 Gosh I hope snowl is like conductor tyranno. The main problem with snow is despite being made with boardbreaker effect(flip everything face-down). You can't use it on your own turn.

The worst thing about snowl is after flipping special summon monster facedown, if you opponent flip it back up it's no longer considered a special summoned monster anymore, so now they can activate their monsters in attack position. Initially, I always thought snowl effect was meant to work well with empen as it forces opponent to flip it up in attack position, but sadly it wasn't the case.

I really like Floo. Don't play them much anymore but they're hardly as toxic as they were when Wind Barrier Statue was still a thing. Snowl is definitely an underrated card. Not too many monsters have heavy backends, so flipping things into face down defense with field-wide piercing has won me soooo many games. Never understood why people don't play it much, even if just 1 copy.

Snowl is my favourite card of the deck and probably one or my favourite cards of all time. I don’t play Floowandereeze in Master Duel anymore but I still often run a more aggressive variant of the deck in the TCG, where at least I didn’t have to worry about nonsensical hits. Snowl makes a ton of difference for me, especially going second, thanks to the offensive pressure it suddenly gives to the deck and its flip-down effect during the opponent’s turn can be really useful if I can’t otk turn 2/3 because of a bad hand or a misplay on my part

at 3:33, they had to use both banished floow cards instead of chainblocking with robina then chainblocking with eglen, because if they hadn't, red would negate the recovery of robina and they would have no summonable monsters. Edit: despite them calling that play greedy, it was actually the safe play, as if they did a single chainblock and their bluff was called by the red, they would be in an extremely bad place with no monsters to start the normal chain the next turn.

By the time Raiza is summoned Empen is in the grave because of Lava Golem, and when Empen is summoned with Raiza in hand I'm pretty sure they had no time left and Empen's floodgate effect is arguably more important, they just got unlucky with the Lava Golem top deck.

A lot of people run DRNM or Droplet but any monster 1100 would beat over it. That’s not hard to do as opposed to having to bait and draw other negates/board breaking cards.

Because it is a redundant card most of the time and can make you brick, just like any other deck focused on the main deck, you don't wanna run many high level monsters, specially floowandereeze, a deck that doesn't let you special summon your big monsters easily. Plus, it requires a good amount of investment to summon, if you can normal summon it without any interruption, you're very likely winning already and summoning it is just flexing at that point, very rarely you'll face a situation like this where it's basically your only out so people prefer consistency instead of having a toolkit of card for every possible scenario that may or may not happen and can, very realistically, hinder the strengths of your deck.

Nah, while snowl is good, is not necessarily a win condition by itself, the summoning requirement aren't cheap even for floo, so they decided it was simply not worth the brickinnes potential when empen get the job done most of the time, people like consistently instead of a toolbox with a little less potential to succeed in most scenarios

Yeah, that's one of the main reasons people have been saying Moon is better. It doesn't matter if Eclispe draws cards if you can board wipe or end the game afterwards, but unless you desperately need Ash bait to distract from your other plays(to be fair, Flooandereeze does fit into that category), hitting a key problem card with Moon is usually enough.
