So - yeah - I found out no one was seeing my posts on Facebook!
So - here's why - and what to do about it.

Thank you for this video! I think the algo changed. No matter what I do it's hard to get likes unless it's about my upcoming wedding. Even if I restrict how many posts per day that I post, it's hard to get traction, more than 5-10 likes. Some people will post something and it gets 30-50 likes with no problem!

Yes. It's constantly evolving. Really making some personal connections with people helps. Yes... My personal posts get more than business. But that's okay. A lot of times. People see my business posts but just scroll by them... In combination with the personal posts, they at least know I'm in the business and know what I'm up to. 1. Grow your audience. (friends and followers) 2. Engage with their stuff.... But be real don't be fake. 😉 3. Make sure you're letting people know about what you do in between your lifestyle posts. I have an eBook that goes a bit more into that and a blog post that my mentors put together. Let me know if you want it.

@@LearnWithGinny thank you! I'd be interested. A google search addresses this from the business end but not the personal end. I have 334 friends so I figured that'd be the issue (less friends) but I used to get 60-70 likes as recently as 2017 on certain posts. I'm also trying to post less frequently. Pictures/wedding/anything engagement related gets tons of likes. Food does to an extent. But even googling how the algorithm works doesn't give much. So much is proprietary.

Yeeeeah - LATELY - FB has been messing with it's algorithm. It appears it's moving more towards a TikTok type style of interest-based instead of connection-based. My posts have suffered too. I'm actually pivoting the way I post for business and even toying with other organic marketing instead... This video is kinda old for realz.

Ginny I have all mine set to public but I still get little or nothing as far as engagement if I post anything about my business. If I post something personal I get all kinds of engagement. HELP!!

It's normal for people not to want to engage with business posts. That's why your personal posts get so much. Also. Make sure you're engaging meaningfully on your target audience's posts too... And building that audience. Not sure if that helps. I have a f.ree posting 5 day challenge that might help. As well as other training that can help you pinpoint how to post and engage so that you connect with more people.

People are interested in whatever's going on in their world. If we can speak into what's going on in their heads.... 🔥🔥 FB is constantly changing too. It's number one goal is to keep people on their platform.

Is it on your phone or computer? Could just be a temporary glitch? I've had that happen on my phone and it fixed itself after an update and re-boot. I'm not sure - could even be something corrupt in the app. If you remember your pw - you could uninstall and re-install it too (after trying the update and reboot)

Yeah I'm talking about personal profiles here. For pages... You're going to have to run ads if you want some traction. I still post to my page but it doesn't get hardly any organic traffic. Reels are getting some traction...

I'm more of the mindset that peoole see your posts but can't bring themselves to like or comment in it. People are in a state of "me first"

I got this problem 1 week ago, and I did exactly like you did but my friends still can't see what I post !!!??? One more thing: every photo I write something to talk about that picture but after 2-3 days the words i wrote disappearred, It happened 2-3 times already. What's wrong? Can you tell me. I tried sendding message to Facebook but no response, and I don't know its CSR phone #. Thanks.

Weird. Can you friends go find your posts to interact and let Facebook's ai know they want to see your posts? Disappearing text is really strange. I wonder if you're app is corrupt or something is glitchy with it. If so... Removing and reinstalling usually helps... But you better know you're passwords and stuff

@@shawnaotoole35 I just check the Birthday notifications - take a look at their profile, see when they were last active, see if we've chatted.... and unfriend the ones who aren't active, haven't responded to any of my messages, etc.... So - this is kind of an old video. And since the TikTok thing exploded in 2020, all the platforms are changing their algorithms. That said - Facebook is STILL a networking platform. So - if you go comment on other people's stuff - ESPECIALLY people that might be interested in what YOU have to say (that helps THEM) - you'll start building an "audience" of people you can help. Make sense? With AI and all the other stuff going on - it'll be different as the platforms try to show people what they're interested in.

Not sure what you mean? Maybe when I use the "Only Me" audience? I've done that by accident. But - I've also used that to "save" posts to make public later... Does that answer your question?

Are you engaging on others' posts too? Are your posts about you or about your audience? Sometimes just asking for the engagement helps too. Believe it or not people need to be reminded too or they just keep scrolling.
