If fluff lands with in a few frames of another item the double doesn't trigger. If an item lands several frames before any other item it counts as double.

reflect is better then dodge cuz it reflects status effects where dodge doesnt it also does dmg while dodge doesnt

Won't dark sword deal an additional 5 damage for every bonus item, due to the self inflicted 2 damage- then because of your vampirism you'll get 1 health? dark sword is very good for your build and you didn't go for it
