I use basically use the same technique on my OB-X8 for a effects you'd swear was an effect.

Yes, with the OB X8 I use the notch filter, but honestly I did not go so deep in programming such type of sound.

Why wasn't this recorded properly in stereo?… part of the appeal of a video like this is hearing a glorious sound hopefully worthy of the price of this instrument to be heard by many who can't afford a Moog One.

The voice, as you can expect, is mono and was recorded with an external microphone. The sound, my friend, was going in stereo from the Moog One directly to a stereo track in Ableton Live. So, I really don't understand what are you talking about😁

@@smvproducer - this phase shifted patch is coming from dead center with no apparent stereo spread whatsoever… is this intentional? Would you use this patch in that way? I've heard a number of synth demo vids on YT in mono and it just makes no sense to me.

@@Robert44444444 it is a single layer patch just to show how to program a phasing effect without a phaser. On the Moog One you cannot pan pot the oscillators. You can use just a spread feature that it will be not useful for what you are talking about. If I was designing a double layer patch( talking about the Moog One), I could play with stereo features. Last but not least: there are some synths, as the minimoog model d and the prophet 5/10 that I own, that are mono and in quality of sound , they are second to no other synth

@@smvproducer - Thanks for the clarification with the 1st part of your reply explaining your approach to this vid. As for the schooling on mono vs stereo outputs on synths, I've long since understood the difference owning several Oberheim poly synths, a Sequential T8, and MKS-80 (x2), and MKS70 (all stereo outputs)… but then my Slim Phatty and Prophet 10 desktop have a mono output… so I get it.
