Originally; HELLS ANGELS impromptu "rolling-up-at biker/sports bar"... filming was already underway (sign was posted outside entrance: "Filming underway... enter at-the-time 'waives your release' tombs filmed"... However, next day upon arriving at Prison Run (200 miles away), numerous other HELLS ANGEL Members 'made it clear': "Keep your cameras off"; there is a quick glimpse of that type uneasy interaction in-the-footage... Ultimately, months after filming production; meetings with HAMC (HELLS ANGELS Motorcycle Club corporation -Oakland, CA) results in gaining "releases to use specific footage"...

Didn't the Hells Angel's name come from a group of C-17 Aviators in WW2? I know I've seen them with that name on them in the old footage just like the Memphis Belle plane had. Most of them were named by the crew and when I saw Hells Angel's on the plane(s) It made me wonder if that wasnt the inspiration since most of those guys are veterans.
@stevehill9342 жыл бұрын
@@rwieber79 yes, the word "angels" was basically slang in the military for planes. "Send the angels in" "the angels are on their way" etc would be used in conversation. This particular group called themselves the "hells angels" as they were notorious and respected for getting things done and being reliable while maintaining full crew. Once released these fellas would crave the thrill of going fast and "everyday normal life" was such a bore to them, they started a club simply for getting together with the boys and chasing that adrenaline that they had and missed now that they were back to civilian life. From there well, we know what happened as sonny and co.came into the picture and turned it into this big entity that expanded many states and so now you have the current hells angels as we know of today. Real interesting history, roots and backstory that's forsure.

@@stevehill934 My Uncle on my mom's side was a member of the Kentucky chapter, last time I saw him was back in the late 80s and I was maybe 9 years old. I just remember he was real tall and muscular and had the typical biker long hair and beard. He was always really nice to me the few times I got to see him. He ended up going to Prison for stuff related to things within the gang and as far as I know hes still in there.

@@rwieber79 thanks for your story brother. Yeah it's neat how small the world is and how that as an example shows that I mean we all seem to know or have experience with many things americana. Sad about him but it really is true when these former mob and gang guys say it's a life that ends in one if two ways prison or casket. Back in his days yes I would join but now it's become about drugs and drug money. Brotherhood is a joke. I've hung around clubs and seen it first hand as the majority was young, wigger yo yo yo type rapper guys who basically sold H and got there M licenses as a technicality for joining an mc. These guys couldn't ride and we're in no way articulate but they sold drugs and made money. Not to mention the disrespect for the older guys and on and on. Not ppl you would be comforted knowing it's them that had your back. They roll over on each other quick and break their own rules constantly sad stuff. These 1er legends would be rolling in their graves if they saw how they operate now, a patch that them and their brothers died and went to jail for are now being used for strictly intimidation and aren't respected by the one wearing it. What utter nonsense. Conforming to the idea of what certain segments of society think you should be doing or riding is not being a "real man". That's being a weak individual who's afraid to be themself.
