Thank you for these uploads! They really make me feel all nostalgic and remind me of times I shouldn't have forgotten in the first place.

Wasn't there a portion of this episode which shows everyone coming into to town and helping to clean everything up? I didn't see that footage is this posting. Can someone remind me about that? Thanks!

Didn't Hanson say he founded the town 50 years ago, in 1840? Well, then that would make the time period 1890, right? However, a few in Part 1, didn't Laura say it was 1880? Or am I hearing things wrong?

There's a part missing! The one where they clean up and fix up the broken things! But it's nice anyway to see the episode in English with the real voices! I used to watch it in French on French TV, it's nice to see the original version. But I'd still love to see that missing part!

This series of them living in the city and going home are my fave episodes behind the very first 4 episodes, ekkkspecially The Richest Man in Walnut Grove, Harvest Of Friends, and I also love Founder's Day, and the 100 Mile Walk, Town Party, Country Party, If I Should Die Before I Wake, The Blizzard. Ooooh so many.

In fact, Karl Swenson's character was written out at the very end (when Laura's voice over occurs) cause he died a short time after filming.

@dntgocrazy4 someone just told me a few days ago. Victor French - who played Mr. Edwards - went on to work on another production. Therefore the characters of Mr. Edwards and his family just didnt join the following season and were kinda replaced by the Garveys. There was no explanation or episode of Edwards leaving.. But: they will return to Walnut Grove later as far as I know

There were many inconsistencies. For example, the real Rose Wilder was born in 1887. In the series finale, it was supposed to be year 1900 or 1901. But notice that little Rose was only about 3 years old. In reality, she would have been about 13 at that time. No matter. I just love watching this show because of it's simplicity. People are so material oriented nowadays that it's sickening.

*oops, especially in that other post, my tablet went nutty! :-) Most of my faves are when the kids are young, but I also love the entire Laura and Almanzo courting ones, Nellie and Percival, and especially when older Nellie and Laura make up and hug and scream and laugh :-)

@AnneErikaKarlsson "I reckon he might be the only swede that ever believed in god" Are you kidding? Sweden was highly christian. It took almost a hundred years for it to become secular, but there are still lots of christian swedes around.
