Real FBI cases are recounted through reenactments and interviews, due to the sensitive nature of the show, viewer discretion is advised.

He was sentenced to death but it was overturned. 30:34 I thought that was dumb they way they went to a suspected murderer's previous known address without first finding out if he's there. They could have instead sent a good looking police woman there inquiring if he was home. She could have given the mother in law a story about how when the suspect was a mechanic, he loaned her money. And she so much wanted to pay him back, because she was desparate at the time and she wants to thank him. 47:00 Amazing that he got him to confess. Good police work.

A good morning from a New Zealand crime junkie, I love watching all the shows so real so unbelievable. It really makes you loose faith in the world on the type of people there is in the world, sometimes its a cop thts doin the crime . So when I watch nd they're caught it gives me hope that these awful crimes don't happen but when they catch one there's always another thousands to stop, catch, take down. But it's the forensics that really amaze me to know those people do the impossible to get these crimes out of action. Power to the crime fighters awesome. I always watch true crime, even better when you see the shows nd the fbi guys that play the real guys so uncanny hoe they get actors tht really look alike. So it makes the shows more appealing when you see the real guys Trans to a series. I love it. MY HEART GOES OUT TO THOSE WHO HAVE LOST THEIR LOVED ONES TO THESE CRIMINALS . TO CLOSE A CASE CATCHING THEM IS THE BEST FEELING 👌 SO THANK YOU ALL THEM WHO TAKE THE CRIMES DOWN .

Exactly. I wondered the same thing but that elderly couple was in another state and probably still too ill to travel to Texas. There was no evidence to extradite him to Louisiana. But he was still in Texas when he confessed so it wasn't yet necessary to have the couple identify him from a photo lineup.

It is suggested that the old man should have checked whether is gun is loaded or not? This is easy when you are typing a comment on a computer. In reality how many of us will be able to keep their cool when a killer is in the house and has already hurt you and your wife badly. Some may be able to do that and they certainly deserve to be praised for their coolness and presence of mind. On the other hand look at the cold blooded killer Mr Blank he broke down and made his confession under much more peaceful and comfortable conditions simply due to emotional feelings for his mother. Finally I feel the opponents of gun control have a point. Guns offer the best protection to weak and vulnerable people like women and old people.

Why did they have to go through all the surveillance and stuff? They knew who it was, had the picture of him when the FBI agent first came up with his association to the first business owner victim. They should have positively identified with the surviving victims and arrested him. Did they have to go through this to get him to admit for all the killings?

Very lucky. Keeping an unloaded firearm next to a similar firearm that's loaded is a recipe for disaster. When you are stressed you don't have time to think about every detail.
