I’ve used VHT engine temp black spray paint for many many chrome pieces on my wide glide and just used the VHT wrinkle plus for my gauge bezel and they came out great. Prep is so important as long as you properly scuff and clean and prime before the paint it can last a really long time and hold up great. I actually used the flat black VHT flame proof to recover and seal my thunder headers before I titanium wrapped them and it also came out really nice just remember to cure properly.

Lovin the lowrider build guys👍I have a 95 lowrider I bought low mileage and super clean like yours. I took a different approach and went retro with my build..... I've seen some fantastic rattle can paint jobs, prep and technique goes a long way. I can't see the added expense to powder coat for a bike being ridden a lot and getting chipped from rocks and sand. Do you both plan on doing a video on detailing? I sold off my Sportster and brought home an Electra Glide. Very well taken care of but I want to do a good detail job on it. Could use a good tutorial lol.

It's your bike, so your choice. After well over 30 years in hot rodding, I know that there are always people out there who'll judge your choices. Just do you. FWIW, my 55.1 Chevy Truck is painted with Rustoleum Blue and Cream with all over Rustoleum Satin Clear. Over 6 years rolling in that paint, and crazy enough a lot of people have wanted the paint "code." Have fun. Video on my channel if you're interested.
