I opened a lenovo ideapad 5 laptop, when removing the battery cable with a sharp screw driver it slipped and accidentally connected one of the battery wire to the metal which secures the battery cable, it sparked, when I reassembled the laptop it doesn't power on, no lights, even when plugged in. First thing i noticed was when I reconnected the battery the CPU warms even when not powered on but cools when battery is not connected. My question is could that spark when I tried to remove the battery cable caused a short somewhere near the CPU?

I don't get why you're starting by looking at all these complicated chips instead of at the input jack.
