Yea man im just getting into the rc dragracing word and gathering parts and was thinking if there was aqay to get them front arms down flat. Makes sence to me

Just an opinion respectfully…… the best shocks that I found for my new DragSlash were the Pro/Spec Proline shocks front and rear….. I used fuel tubing to shorten the rears and since doing this my launches improved greatly….. weight transfer is optimal and I even picked up better E/Ts and ultimately more speed……hope this info is useful to you….thanks for sharing…… ☮️~~~~~~Out! 👍🏻😎

Actually, real cars do have that angle built into the suspension arms mounting point. It’s called anti-dive. Necessary for control during heavy breaking. I’m sure the same reason it’s used in r/c “off road” suspension. But totally not necessary on drag race set ups where suspension travel is very limited.

The hinge points on the a arms determine the 'wheelbase change'

Wow those rear arms stick bad when you took off the shocks.

Is that a custom rear shock tower ? Just getting into drag racing and like having the shocks totally vertical if I can get them that way
@corysorrells223 жыл бұрын
Yes, I had extra parts and I decided to just make my own adjustable shock tower mount. You can buy carbon shock towers that have the same effect.

Was the bulk head a direct bolt on or did you have to modify stuff?
@corysorrells222 жыл бұрын
For me it bolted on directly

@@corysorrells22 awesome thank you for the video and reply. I’m starting to build a drag slash this year. I bought a LGC chassis and now all I need is the rest of the other parts 😂. I have a parts list so that should help. It’s seem like that bulk head is not in stock at the moment.

someone told me to flip the front bulkhead on my 2wd slash to change the suspension geometry when dragging. is this accurate? have you heard of this?

Where can you go to buy a race ready Rc no prep car.
@corysorrells223 жыл бұрын
The only RTR is the Team Associated DR10. Or you can convert a Traxxas slash into a drag car. The easiest is probably getting a Ready to Run DR10.

What does no prep mean cuz it looks like to me there's a whole lot of preparation like in drag racing no prep
@corysorrells223 жыл бұрын
"No prep" means the racing surface isn't peeped like in a on road race would be. Some places let you "sauce" the tires but you still have to do a burnout prior to the race. I don't run any sauce or prep my tires.
@goldenboyNJ3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for clearing up that confusion not that what I think means anything but I think a much better term would be unprepped as in we race on an unprepped surface.
@ConditionZero762 жыл бұрын
@@goldenboyNJ in actual NHRA Drag Racing 1:1 cars they use a ton of Prep all the way down the runway it's litterally poured on the road 50 gal containers w/ heavy equipment machines used to spread it evenly & prepare the surface for the NHRA Drag cars events... No Prep Racing albeit RC Cars or Actual street cars the surface of the road can not be Prepped whatsoever, you can blow it off but No Prep on the road at all, hence the (NPRC, No Prep RC) However you are allowed to (sauce) or Prep your tires prior to your run so long as you do a burnout & remove most of it before launching... 💯🤙🏼🏁
