Anybody who claimed he just threw 5 yarders is too stupid to ever have their mind changed. Not only was he not a game manager/check down type QB last season, he was literally the furthest thing from that. He lead the entire NFL in pass completions that travelled 20+ yards, 30+ yards and 40+ yards in the air. He trailed only C.J. Stroud and Tua on 50+ yards in the air completions. He was first in basically every air yard statistical category. It's one thing to be wrong, it's another thing to be as wrong as one could possibly be. Those are the worst kind of haters.

The TD's will likely come. Brock had 18 of his 31 TD's last season in just 5 games. 13 in the other 11 games. This whole Brock did this or is doing that is ridiculous. No other QB in his first 25 starts played with one of the best left tackles in the game in Trent Williams. They didn't have the best RB in the game in CMC. They didn't have one of the best tight ends today with Kittle. They also didn't have a weapon like Deebo. Or a top 5 defense. Throughout the years, there have been many QB's who played well, but since they were winning, no one really talked about them. I'm not here to say Purdy isn't good, because he is, but when they lose, it's this or that. It's everything except Purdy. There is playing good and there's playing good enough to win. You can't give someone all the accolades in wins and exempt him in any blame in losses. Without all those pieces I've mentioned above, this team and Purdy were 1-2 and he played a terrible game in Minnesota. They win, but discount the fact that Deebo and Kittle returned to action.
