When you switched hands cause your riding hand was injured and you went 85+ WITH YOUR OPPOSITE HAND I WAS LIKE WTF!!! Im from AZ and I rode bulls for almost 8 years. Spent a lot of time with the Custer's. Cody used to put on a lot of rodeo schools back then and Danny was always around making everyone laugh. Anyways, I know what it means to ride with your opposite hand and it is almost impossible and then add to it that he went 85+ is just fu***** crazy.

JB is for sure an athletic guy and has the right build for bull or any rough stock riding and that’s definitely a plus. But so do a lot of other guys. The difference between JB and the rest is grit and heart, those elusive qualities. Those two things are built by the right parenting, by self and by God and JB has been blessed by that trinity.

I knew when JB started riding PRCA events last year to get on more bulls he was going to make a run at the NFR this year. My favorite bull rider. I'm 44 now and followed bull riding and rodeo since I could turn the t.v. myself. Most riders are from the mid west. Not many from the east cost. But JB is from my neck of the woods North Carolina. His ranch is right down the road. He'll always be my favorite rider. I love all the roping events so I hope he starts calf roping or team roping. Hell steer wrestling wouldbe awesome. But he hinted that he wanted to be known as a cowboy and he ropes so sounds like he's gonna be entering more that bull riding. Cowboys rope. Riders ride.

I'm a new fan of JB....I have to say, at 56 yrs old, I like the old school bull riders from back in the day: Jim Sharp, Cody Lambert, Don Gay, etc but, every time I watch JB I think of Tuff Hedeman and Lane Frost. To me he's a combination of both. JB has the try, the heart, he just has that combination that Tuff and Lane had, you can see it. When he rides bulls he reminds me of Lane!!! Love me some JB but Lane Frost is my all time favorite!!!

Bushwacker is the best ever. Little Yellow Jacket was good as well. Both were strange because they were “nice” professional bulls that rarely tried to hurt the riders. Blueberry Wine is another one that was great. Huge massive bull that was like a 1900lb bovine ballerina
