Yeah, some how they were determine on killing her, i dont know which came out first, this or above the law, they tried killing her character in above the law, it didnt go well with people in the theater, so they had to re write the ending.

It is tragic and makes you emotional, it did its job. Also imagine both cynthia and Loren both fighting Mathias, it would have not been as epic, they would have smashed him in half the time as Loren did solo. Probs no need to drag to cross either, just a beat down.

@eddard9442 Nah mate, the way the movie portrayed the sheer strength of the almighty "General" Mathias, both Loren and Cynthia were still not going to be enough to take him down. Not even with Mark included. He was only going to be taken down by skills, tactics, and brilliance. Not strength. But yea, the movie succeeded in evoking from the audience sadness and frustration with the tragic death of Cynthia.
