Daniela Not really. That my friend is a properly fitted figure eight noseband. Her hands just came close to the head. A martingale is attached to the reins. Making it look like a much of little straps. But really. There’s not that many.

I get what U mean but if U let them go sometimes reins go stuck in the legs of the horse so...It isn't the best thing to do. It depends of situations but normally the best thing Is to don't let go the reins and if U can to like open the reins because in this way the horse don't get hurt. When U are on the horse and U fall U try to do the best for the horse and for U but It isn't easy (I do horsejumping)

@@aurylou167 I completely understand it can be a reflex and sometimes that's unavoidable or dangerous especially if you are out hacking but when in an arena and it's a controlled environment it can just be safer, you won't be hauling on the horse's mouth, the horse can balance itself if you've fallen while jumping (so the horse is less likely to fall on you) and you will fall more naturally (avoiding potential injury to yourself), I'm more referring when you have fallen quite suddenly or have flipped over not when you land on your feet or it's a slow almost controlled fall

yes sometime but I've had the experience of the reins getting tied on my hand so I couldn't really let go but that lesson horse was well trained thankfully so it didn't spook and run off

@@aurylou167 The reins probably break if there is that much pressure on them (horse weight then), if you fully fall to the ground you'll pull on the reins if you still have them in your hands and it can hurt the horse their mouth (Unless if you're in a field then I wouldn't recommend it cause there's a risk of loosing your horse) You yourself can also have a risk of when you hold on, if the horse decides to run then you get pulled along and that doesn't sound very fun
