I have a Ruger American Ranch in 300BLK. It's getting just over .5MOA at 100yd with hand loads and it feeds reliably. Terrible rifle. 😂

Agree, I own several rifles and my Ruger go wild on Magpul stock and browning recoil Hawg muzzle brake is an awesome rifle it runs very smooth and as accurate as rifles costing 3 times as much.

I have several Ruger Americans I'm deadly with all of them! I especially like the ranch Rifles! The scopes on all of them cost more than the rifles. For the money I find them great and use them more than rifles I spent thousands of dollars on. They do have some issues but for the money it's hard to complain.

I have the Ruger American 223 that had a factory installed AR style magazine kit and even though the magazine does feel kind of loose in there it feeds perfect every time. Not to mention the fact that with 75 grain reloads it shoots fantastic out to 700 yards.

I have a 5.56 ranch and a 223 Predator both came with Magpul AR style magazines I have never had any issues with them, or genuine era 20 round military magazines.

I’ll take a ruger predator all day every day over a savage, I have 7 predators and 5 Hawkeyes and they are all tac drivers

For one if you want a 60 degree bolt throw why did you buy the Ruger American ? it has a 70 degree throw. I’m not a big fan of cheap rifles so you get what you pay for. Also that is not a stove pipe. Stove pipe is on ejection on Autos when the case looks like a stove Pipe coming out of the action on ejection when jams occur.

So I just took a brand new American Ranch 556 out of the box to the range... But before I did I put a cheaper Simmons 3-9x40 scope. Decided to try some 77g BTHP's from MEAD industries, this thing LOVES it... Didn't have light enough to hit the 100 yd range but it's sub MOA at 50 yds

are you sure some of the problems may be the one when you look in the mirror most people that own these guns absolute love them and seem very accurate so in conclusion go and buy your self a ten thousand dollar rifle and likely the bullet will still hit the same spot as the ruger does yes sell that gun and quit your baby whinning my ruger works perfect and the bolt is smooth as silk whjy because i know how to do quick fixs but yes go on to something else yes go get a tika you do that

I have a predator 7mm-08 that just takes the 3 round mags. I have had no feeding issues. I polished the bolt with steel wool to get rid of the zipper sound. It shoots 3 round groups under an inch at 100yrds with 139gr american whitetail ammo. I am very happy with the gun. I think it has potential for better accuracy i just havent had time to experiment with different loads yet

Hone the bolt. Your getting an adjustable trigger and a cold hammer forged barrel, that's what your paying for.

Try using a Ruger magazine in lieu of the Magpul and you'll have better luck with the feed. Finishing the bolt down a little so it cycles quietly isn't hard to do.

Mine was jamming pretty bad with polymer tips. I noticed when the bolt was going forward it moved the magazine down and then the next round would cycle fine. So I put a couple of drops of jb weld on the back of the magazine so that it wouldnt sit too high and it feeds fine now. Ruger is a great company and should address this issue. Maybe they did with the Gen 2.

I get it and I understand the issue.........but this is also comparing a $750 rifle to a $400 rifle. You shoot what you can afford. I have a $4000 setup in 6.5 PRC that i shoot often but also a complete ruger american setup (rifle, scope, rings, bipod, etc) for a total of around $800 that kills deer on a regular basis and shoots 1 MOA day in and day out........Im agreeing with you 100% on the quality of build.......I have spoken to more than one person about having quality control issues with a Ruger firearm, but its price point fits the bill for those who cant drop $1000 on a new rifle then still need a scope,base, rings, etc before they can go shoot. OK, so you bought a cheap gun and you are complaining that it does not do the same thing as a more expensive gun? If you watched any videos prior to buying the Ruger, you would know that the bolt makes noise, it can't single feed, and it has a cheap flimsy stock. The Magpul Hunter stock is a really nice addition to this gun. I bought one for my grandson in 6.5 CM to teach him to hunt, I don't want him to use my expensive rifles yet. I added a cheap brake, hand loaded some Hornady 140g ELD-M (.002" case bump and .020" off the lands) and it shoots 1/2 MOA, which I think is EXCEPTIONAL for a $400 rifle.

I've never owned a Savage in a short action chambering that didn't have ejection problems. Either very weak ejection with the empty case barely clearing the rifle or just dropping the empty cartridge on top of the loaded rounds in the magazine. Any Savage rifle I've owned or shot has displayed superior accuracy but the ejection problems are a deal breaker for me. The Ruger Americans eject perfectly and strongly no matter the chambering.

My American Predator 6.5 Grendel wouldn't shoot under 2" with any ammo no matter the shooter. I'm sure most shoot well but I won't be trying another one after that besides it felt Cheap turd

The savage is generally a better quality rifle for the money. Imo. My ruger American rim fire has one of the worst feeling bolts of any bolt action I’ve ever shot. Accurate and reliable but not at all refined. Spend your money on an older rem 700 or a Winchester. Imo.

Dude, the whole idea of a mag fed rifle is so you don't have to single feed. For the price point, I don't mind lapping the action and upgrading the trigger spring (I've had to do that with more expensive rifles). A couple of minor mods to the stock that cost near zero dollars will fix magazine issues too. You're allowed to not like what ever you want to. Just as commenters are allowed to like what they want to. I have four Ruger Americans, all are accurate and reliable.
