be careful with putting vaseline around your eyes, my sister got milia from it! My dermatologist also says it's mistake he sees now that people are putting vaseline on/around their lashes and trapping all the keratin inside some of the small glands and pores around their eyes, which can lead to small yellow bumps around the eye of trapped keratin! You’re absolutely beautiful and your lashes are too but just letting you know because it’s not very easy to remove! I think most people will be fine but I just wanted to let others know ❤️❤️

I was getting tiny breakouts with the vaseline but I was able to stick to it by using less and being more precise with the application. I use just the very tip of my finger and just enough vaseline to glide around the eyes, leaving like a 0.5 cm distance to the eye. Actually when I apply the castor oil I also never go into the roots of the lashes, as the oil from the tips and length should bleed a fair bit into them by itself.

@@tasniamimm255 I actually stopped using both because they are both unsafe for fungal acne and I used to have it real bad on my forehead. I honestly have just tried to leave them alone and they grow back just fine :) if you don't have FA-prone skin then I would pick either - castor oil is way cheaper (but feels thick and kind of heavy on the skin) but the ordinary serum is more expensive but feels nice on the skin. both helped my brows and lashes grow back.

I did all these things for years but noticed ZERO difference in my lashes 😅 I still use cleansing balm + rarely wear makeup, but I've since discontinued castor oil because, as I said, it was doing nothing. Not trying to be rude, but imo the differences you've seen with castor oil are probably a combination of placebo + the oil working like a clear mascara. Lash serum is at least proven to add length, so if I still wanted to grow my lashes, I would go for that instead of doing all of this. She is right about the prostaglandins destroying orbital fat when applied to lashes though, so I agree with her there - avoid those in a lash serum.

@@ruledbypluto1843 I think the ordinary lash serum dosent have that, I checked just now online ! But you shld check reviews too bc it seems to irritate some users , or test it in the store first / buy a smaller tube 💖

I think castor oil works for certain people, not everyone. I definitely notice a difference when I don’t use it. Also it’s not that it looks like a clear mascara causing a placebo. Most of us use it at night before bed, it’s not on during the day when the health/growth of our lashes is noticeable.

I'd been considering castor oil, but now I'm just completely sold, since your lashes look incredible and the other tips I've been seeing from you are legit. I already use coconut oil on my lashes and vaseline straight on my skin too, and I've been fine taking the same precautions as you do, so hopefully the castor oil should be a smooth upgrade. :)

@@moony995 ok, I'm confident in saying it did make a small, but definitely noticeable difference, and it's not just a psychological effect, though I never measured anything. By now I've looked at my lashes enough, and especially the occasional fallouts are definitely longer. I'm also having consistently more trouble with my mascara smudging my skin makeup. 😂
@e.l.2734
@e.l.2734 4 ай бұрын
@@moony995 btw about the application, I just apply it with fingers. I do my whole skincare with just three fingers :P and then use a clean pointer finger to go over the tips and length of my lashes with the oil. Only then, I go in with my spoolie to spread it evenly, and I don't do the vaseline step on the lashes (I only use vaseline to slug around the eyes with the tiniest amount that I pick up with a clean thumb).

You can use an oil cleanser to remove mascara and all makeup. A double cleanse is best for your skin. So use the oil cleanser to get most of the makeup off and then a face cleanser to remove all residue.

i use an oil waterproof mascara remover from Maybelline to get my mascara off Edit: also, make sure to brush through your lashes and make sure none of your lashes are crossing over each other extremely, because if you sleep on your lashes, and they cross over each other, they can stay like that, and hurt when you brush them back together
