Needle no that you used and also thread tension. Im having trouble with jute cords. No 16 needle keeps breaking and when I use 18 needle the thread keeps breaking. I adjusted the thread tension to 3 with 18 but then the lower thread is loose

It might if it hasn't been coated w/something. I've used a glue gun on rope, fabrics, leather wood etc. & I usually reinforce as well cause I don't want it fall'n apart. 🙃 ☮️💖🌻
