As a cosmetologist I hate how incorrectly people are taking the no-shampoo movement. You should still be using shampoo and cleaning your hair and scalp, too much buildup is bad, stinky and uncomfortable. A frequent issue though is some people shampoo waaaayy to often for their hair type, texture, length, and scalp condition. For example afro texture hair really only needs shampooed one a month. Or if you have shorter straight hair with an oily scalp you might need to shampoo as often as every day or every other day. If your hair isnt getting crazy oily or smelly, you should try waiting a couple more days to shampoo. How frequently someone shampoo's their hair varies greatly for each individual person, it can be ANYWHERE between daily to monthly. But please still wash your hair AND your scalp. (The scalp is most important to focus on cause thats where the oil and buildup is)
@jamesclawson92432 ай бұрын
This is validating. I started going no poo 50% because I was lazy and 50% because my natural oils made my hair look better. Then I discovered there was a subreddit dedicated to it. I also started growing my hair out and noticed that I still have to wash my hair every few weeks. I think I'll just stick with what I'm currently doing as it's pretty convenient and it helps my curls, but still the occasional cleanse.

nice hair anyway,here how to make peporoni pizza --- Ingredients: Pizza dough (you can make your own or buy pre-made dough) Pizza sauce (homemade or store-bought) Mozzarella cheese, shredded Pepperoni slices (high-quality pepperoni works best) Olive oil Cornmeal or flour (for dusting) Instructions: Preheat Your Oven: Preheat your oven to the highest temperature it can go, typically around 500°F (260°C) or higher. Make sure your pizza stone or baking sheet is inside the oven as it preheats. Prepare the Dough: If you're using pre-made dough, allow it to come to room temperature. On a lightly floured surface, stretch and shape the dough into your desired pizza shape. If you prefer a thicker crust, you can roll the dough out to be thicker. For a thinner crust, roll it out thinner. Prepare the Pizza Stone or Baking Sheet: If you're using a pizza stone, sprinkle cornmeal on the pizza peel to prevent sticking. If you're using a baking sheet, lightly grease it or use parchment paper. Assemble the Pizza: Place the stretched dough onto the prepared pizza peel or baking sheet. Brush the edges of the dough with olive oil to create a golden crust. Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce. Arrange the pepperoni slices on top of the cheese. Bake the Pizza: Carefully transfer the pizza to the preheated oven. If using a pizza stone, slide the pizza from the peel onto the hot stone. Bake for about 10-15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned. Serve: Once the pizza is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool for a minute or two before slicing. Serve hot and enjoy your delicious pepperoni pizza!

Shampoo is used to get sebum off your hair! Sebum is the oil/grease we see on our hair. It’s normal and all natural and everyone has it! Each hair has the sebaceous gland which produces it. It’s a hair protectant but builds up over time which is why we use shampoo to get it out!
@acid_tongue_43155 ай бұрын
You said the issue with shampoo in this statement tho: shampoo strips the scalp of sebum, and over time, the scalp notices that its oils are getting routinely STOLEN. This really pisses ur scalp off, and makes it increase sebum production. The reason why shampoo fasts/breaks are used, is too 'reset' the scalp's sebum production. If you dont use shampoo for awhile, the scalp takes notice, and decreases oil production. Its very cyclical lol

The reason people might find that their hair starts to look healthier, while having to do a lot with just doing more intentional work, also has to do with your taking the oils that would normally sit and stagnate on your scape and spreading across all your hair. the curlier your hair, the drier. people with curly hair like this guy don’t have to shampoo as often.
@arnabkar87922 ай бұрын
Your problem might be because of shampooing too much. When you shampoo, your scalp is stripped of the naturally produced sebum, your scalp then sees that it's out of sebum so it produces even more sebum. So shampooing more frequently and with harsher shampoos actually make your oil problem worse. My tip to fix that would be to do what this guy is doing, 1.wash your head with water and scrub your scalp everyday, 2.detangle hair to get dead hair off if needed. 3.A kind of weird thing to do , but apply some kind of oil(I use non-smelly coconut oil if needed) to only your scalp(not your hair). This does the opposite of shampoo causing your hair to think it has too much sebum. Plus since oil is thinner than sebum, it's easier to wash off the consecutive day.
@arnabkar87922 ай бұрын
@@troygilbert69 That's not right, people at my location say the opposite. Hair type has little to do with dryness or oilyness, it depends person to person not hair type to hair type. It might be that curly hair people at your location use grease/oils on their hair periodically. That makes your scalp produce less sebum naturally.

Those people aren’t “no shampoo”. They simply don’t wash themselves. You can still have clean and fresh smelling hair even without shampoo. For one you can substitute shampooing with only conditioner. That way you can clean off dirt or even products at the roots that are being trapped. Kinda like how you do an oil cleanse on your face. Second, you can use warm water to clean your hair after breaking off the clumped-ups either by combing or just doing it in the shower. Then use something like apple cider to give your hair a thorough rinse. I dilute mine in a bottle and just pour over my head in the shower. Last Lu, you can just reduce the shampooing to twice a week if the above methods don’t work on you for some reason.

You need to comb it in the shower to scrape the dead skin and oils off the scalp while water is hitting your hair and you need to wring and pull the excess water out as your combing and take a damp cloth and saturate the grease in your hair so it doesn’t look wet when it’s not

Ok I get what you did ! What did you do 30 days after that ? And what are you doing now? I’m interested in doing a long-term not using shampoo ! But before I do it, I’d like to know some kind of results from after the 30 days.

Shampoo is bad for your hair. But conditioner isn’t!!! Also, anything that touches your scalp is really bad for your hair. Brushing your hair isn’t even that good for once hair but how Mitch damage it does to your hair and scalp depends on what type of brush you use. I have a REALLY soft one that still does the job perfectly
