Everyone suffers from sleeplessness at some point in their life. There's just so much going on nowadays, so many problems in the world and it's so overwhelming. You end up lying awake at night dreading falling asleep because then you'll wake up and have to face the world again. At the same time, I often find myself staying up late because I feel like that's the only time that I have to myself, to carve out a little peace in the day. This mix is for those moments in the night. To escape your worries for a little while and just drift away with the music.

You published this 2 days before I had my son. About a week later I was trying to find something soothing for bed time to listen to when I came across this mix. Me and my bf fell in love with your music as well as our son! Our son always falls asleep before the 30 minute mark it is amazing how well this mix seems to work putting him to sleep! Let me tell ya ive thrown this mix on damn near every night for bed to get him to sleep because it seems to be the only chill mix he likes to fall asleep too. I remember this mix... after 3 years, it showed up on my youtube recommendation. I listened to this mix the date it came out. I was studying for last year's engineering finals, and I continued to listen to this mix every night until I graduated. I would just have this running in the background while studying. After I graduated and had new routines (no all-nighter before exams), I stopped listening to this mix and eventually forgot about it. Listening to this again today, brought back many memories... 3 years ago, I was a broke student, renting in a basement, borrowing money to go to college. Now I'm an engineer, working at a stable job (didn't get laid off during the lockdown), got a house, a car, and a fiance... All of that within 3 years. The old me wouldn't believe this day will happen, but it did. If you are going through some tough times, just remember to try your best, give your best shot. Life will turn around, and it can turn quickly before you know it. :)

Exhaustion is overwhelming at 1:45 in the morning, even with the blankets wrapping me in warmth and it being 69 degrees. I find myself staring at the ceiling and wondering about my mental illness and weeping soft and quiet tears to a love left in another state. The city lights cannot be seen from my window, so I turn to the cool breeze that flutters by as I sit in my window sill and drift off with the music. Too tired to sleep, and too exhausted to be awake. The lonely hours of the night captivate me and whisper sweet nothings into my ears, promising wonderful things but begging I stay awake just a little bit longer. The jacket hangs weakly from my shoulders and slips slowly off of my arms, hardly noticed along with the soft tug of sleep at my eyelids and the feeling of drifting off to my mattress. The night is controlling and gorgeous, a being that cares as a mother. Willing you gently to rest and promising safety until you wake from your slumber. The sounds of rain trickling out of my window soothes even the most worrying of thoughts. And as the clock strikes 1:55, my eyelids shut and don't open for the rest of an eternity.

This is my fourth comment under this mix in 3 years, I comeback to it everytime I gotta focus on my life and ask myself the right questions. Tsup past me, tsup future me. It's the third year in a row that I come here to make a little statement on how my life is going at the moment. You made it through your military service ! A whole year congrats ! Now you're 20 and it's been 6 months since you're done with it and you've finally started to launch your dreams. I did my first stand-up comedy show the 28th of May 2021. It's been 6 truly hard working months and now you just won a "New talent contest", you're strating to get invited here and there and a few people are starting to remember your name. But you're still so far from your goals and you know it, and it kinda hurts, you're way too obsessive about work, you don't have to work 24/7, chill, continue taking pleasure in writing and getting on stage and success will come naturally if you keep up with the good mentality, if you keep overthinking everything the way you're doing at the moment, it's really threatening your mental health. It's only been 6 months and you're already experiencing the "depressive clown" syndrome. Do not forget what's important. Take all the time needed, just don't waste it. Dear future me, I hope you'll have figured it out and I hope you'll keep the dreams that I have today alive. I don't know where this whole random life is going but it's kinda exciting. I was so tired. School was ruff. The entire day was a slurry checking new schedules, learning teachers names, and wondering to find the correct place. By the time it was done I just wanted to sleep. However, every time I closed my eyes I felt like I needed to run a lap. Yet, my eyes stung when I opened them. I was stuck like this for a bit. Then I remembered this lovely playlist.
