I think the bridge pickup does sound a little Tele like. But I know it's got nowhere near the punch that the Tele has. Just a similar type of tone

It's almost like you have to play to the instrument. It's very wiry on the bridge, which I like, and it sounds great for clean tones with delay and reverb. But you have to play to its strengths when choosing a drive pedal. You can't just throw any drive pedal you care to mention in front of it and call it a day.

There is no "better" , they're both similar in tone. Do you want standard or deluxe features is the question. You won't be disappointed with either.

It is so easy to get a Rick nowadays. No one is buying them. Don't believe the hype of a call for a price. Music stores have Ricks hanging on the walls for years with no sales. I went to Sam Ash one day when I bought my Rick and they were almost begging me to buy it. I got every discount under the sun just so they can get it out the door

@ProjectBlue I bought the Rick 8 years ago under Obama's booming economy. Has nothing to do with the economy back then. But I agree. The Biden economy sucks. We are all going poor.
