No Therapy for Dan? 48 Hours

Sharon I feel for you and Dan. Unfortunately decisions and policies are made by accountants and not those administering care. Not to defend Magee but if three people dropped out of appointments in one day and 4 folks were left with nothing to do it would not be economically feasible for them to run the business for they are not compensated for the time of those employees. Your circumstances are extraordinary and I’m sure the average therapy patient does not have them and these circumstances should be taken under consideration. You are doing the right thing by finding therapy that is more user friendly but are you sacrificing quality of care. When I had my knee replaced I went to Penn medicine in Philly because my research proved them the best. It was out of the way and inconvenient but I wanted the best. Sometimes to get the best sacrifices must be made. Btw even my dentist sends 10 text reminders for an appointment these days. Magee does not??

@@alpep1307 I am looking for alternatives, and believe me when I tell you that Dan will not suffer for quality of care. Penn is on my list! But I also believe that the need for care is on a continuum; not every patient is a Dan. If you want to be in this business, you need to balance the Dans with the Sharon’s; the hard, with the easy. Not everyone is hard, some are easier, and that comes into play. In our defense, our insurance pays on the dime and always has. Magee can bill them whether we show or not. If insurance stops paying, we will - there is no greater priority than Dans therapy. So I don’t understand the problem here, and that leads me back to the level of complexity of Dans case as being the problem.
