I could disparage life in 2024 and no doubt many would agree with me but DAMN, life was GOOD in the 60s and 70s!
@HamiltonRb3 ай бұрын
There was a lot of issues back then, with the race riots, Vietnam, JFK, RFK & MLK assassinations & Charles Manson etc, but I prefer to look at the positives like the incredible music, the changing social culture of peace & love, landing a man on the moon & even bell bottoms :)

I grew up on the Minnesota-Canada border. Wasn't much for local radio and everything else was obliterated by the Iron Range magnetic field. On a good night you could get WLS. On an average day, you could get a faint signal from Winnipeg and that's where The Guess Who and BTO got started. Maybe why it took years for me to find Skynyrd.

Great to see our senior's still rockin' the house . I very surprised Randy is performing the Guess Who song with the earlier this year where Burton Cummings put a cease and desist on the group staging and touring as the Guess Who , which they had been doing for years. I saw that incarnation band twice . Played the songs well .
@BusterBrown863 ай бұрын
I’m pretty sure it was the current “Guess Who” touring band you’re talking about, not Randy.

@BusterBrown86 correct sir. That band sometimes with Garry Peterson drums or Jim Kale bass would be staging with supporting for hire guitarist , front man vocalist, and a keyboard player.

This was on the radio when I was maybe 10 or 12 years old and I loved it! I could even do a decent cover of the guitar melody with a comb and a piece of paper. 😏 some of you may know what I’m talking about. Oh, and I was born in Greenville so that’s kinda cool too.

THE very first record ' 45 " I ever bought as a Michigan kid when that song came out. I think Bus rider was on the flip side. I played it and my sister asked who plays that ? I said Guess who. She said no. Who plays that. Again guess who 😂😂
