I don't use the console or anything though, I just exit to the map on a completely new file, something anyone can do when playing this game for the first time. I also skip other levels that don't need to be completed, why does the first one matter so much?

I just didn't understand how you'd skipped it, that's all. This is any%, you do as little as possible to make your time faster.

You can just exit to the map immediately and just not do the first level as the second one is already unlocked.

what he is doing is an 'any percent run" and that means that he can use any possible way of beating the game without external help so as long as its all from the game he can do anything he wants.
