keep punk rock alive its more than music its a way of life a perspective that only a chosen few get to really enjoy

Wow, I am a 90s punk that played in punk bands. But this is beautiful, I was at a campsite and two guys came too my camp to jam with my buddy n I and they sang a bunch of no use for a name, face to face, and mad caddies. This was 20yrs ago. So you made my night knowing these songs are still kicking flavor. Never stop doin you.

You seem younger than the generation that grew up with this band... I'm 40 and No Use was definitely the soundtrack of my teens. Do you have a parent or older sibling that turned you on to NUFAN? If not, how did you get into them? One of the best punk bands of the era. Tony Sly was probably the best songwriter of the genre.
@maudecarriermusique2 жыл бұрын
ahahahah I'm glad to know that I look younger, but I'm already 35...I first discovered NOFX at the age of 11 when my brother (who is two years older than me) bought the album Punk in Drublic. I got so excited by what I was listening to, that I bought all the Fat Wreck Chords compilation albums and instantly fell in love with the genre. A couple of years later, Taking Back Sunday were releasing Tell All Your Friends and I followed the first emo-punk wave with The Get Up Kids, Dashboard Confessional, etc. Never stoped to listen to punk rock and pop punk bands since then and I am amazed to see that younger bands like The Wonder Years, Man Overboard or Forever Came Calling are doing insanely good contemporary pop-punk. As you can see, it's a very long love story...aannnddd I'm sadly not that young 😂
@ryanpoe97912 жыл бұрын
@@maudecarriermusique You don't look a day over 20. Do you realize that you were the unicorn every punk guy was dying to meet but never did? The shows were almost always a total sausage fest. Most of the girls I ever met in the scene certainly didn't continue to listen and love after the trend period faded out. I thought I heard a hint of an accent in a few words you sang in the video... what country are you from? Also, have you heard of Red City Radio or Pup?
@maudecarriermusique2 жыл бұрын
@@ryanpoe9791 😂wow, no, I never realized that, probably because here in Quebec City (yeah, I'm a french Canadian, that explains the accent and the weird expressions), a lot of cute girls where very into punk rock. But I've got to admit that 20 years later, I don't know a lot of 35 years old survivors who are still really into the genre and willing to discover new bands. (I love Pup !! But I don't know Red City Radio. I'm gonna check it out. My last "love at first sight" discovery was Origami Angel, with the album Gami Gang. Listen to it about a thousand times and still cannot get over it).
Okay.
@maudecarriermusique3 жыл бұрын
