The no waste method is the most efficient method for making flying geese. (I call it the little foxes method as they look like little foxes before they become geese). Deb Tucker's Wing Clipper is my tool of choice for perfect trim down--and it has the advantage have having multiple sizes v. other rulers which sometimes only have 2 sizes. Yes, one can be careful with seam allowance etc.; however, I have found for blocks with bias, and particularly when you are in production mode of having to many many, many units, a slightoversizing and slivers of trim down ensures a perfect unit every single time while keeping it no-waste. I made your Windmill quilt using FG (v. HST's), and every single FG unit was perfect using this tool
