I read somewhere that per DG Corporate are closing some stores early or close completely like for a week so their employees can restock their shelves. A lot of stores across the country are SO far behind on it. I believe you're finding past holiday items is because they're actually cleaning out their back room. All that old stuff is being thrown out lol

Missed you Shannon. Glad you are feeling better. Those cardboard pop and plays are great for more than just children. I raise chickens and those pop and plays are great for a baby chick brooder box. If you don't know what that is. It is where baby chicks are raised from the time they hatch until they are old enough to be outside without freezing. If they don't have a mama chicken to raise them and keep them warm and safe.

Glad to hear you are feeling better Shannon. Wow you found some great stuff to donate. The prices are just crazy lately. I have noticed lately that food is way more expensive than it was. Here in Ontario Canada they want over 20 dollars for laundry soap and food prices have gone crazy up . I use to pay under 5 dollars for peanut butter and now they want 15 dollars a bottle. It’s so nice to see people like you that take time out their day to help others in need. I have a neighbor where I lived who started a food thing where she gives ppl healthy food who are in low income. She helps seniors and others. So seeing what you and this lady does just warms my heart knowing there is still people who care and who help others. Can’t wait for your next video and stay healthy and safe

Hi Shannon and Beth (hope you are well Beth), I’m happy to see your smiling face once again Shannon, glad your all feeling better. Well what do we say to the massive amount of stuff you found? I cannot believe how much perfectly good items stores throw away, I agree it’s insanity. Whoever gets to utilise these items are truly grateful to you (& Beth as your partner in crime 🤣), especially the meds and toys. I know the cardboard is expensive but the children’s imagination and learning skills to put it all together, if it is all explained to the kids in real building terms, the information and skills will be retained. Like all play learning it is an opportunity to build on their knowledge in play terms. Thank you so so very much for all you do for others, you truly are an inspirational Angel to us all but mostly to your Children who will grow up to respect, admire and very caring.
