There are so many kids graduating high school that can't even boil an egg, They don't know how credit works, can't sign a check or type a resume. I graduated HS in 93 and as a Gen X'r we knew how to do that. I've been employed since I was 11 delivering newspapers and have had a job ever since. I've also lost jobs but then was able to get a new job by hitting the pavement and working my ass off. "Z" claims that stuff was handed to us, but we still had to deal with problems like the Dot Com bubble bursting, 9/11, The housing crisis in 2008 all while trying to support and help our families grow and stay together. Gen Z needs to wake up and get their act together and realize that nobody is going to help them but themselves. I'm a moderate, I don't believe in political parties. If we're going to fix this country it's going to have to start with people learning skills that make them valuable and not getting a piece of paper they can wipe their ass with that is going to cost them hundreds of thousands in debt to do it.

Even if none of the other issues about Gen Z (highest rates of anxiety and other psychiatric disorders, overall lower financial literacy, overall lower daily life skills, and so on) is true, the fact remains that they are numerically the smallest generation America has ever had. As a voting bloc (aside from the fact that they are as polarized as or more polarized than everyone else) they are comparatively irrelevant. We cannot expect them to save America, nor should we, particularly if we ourselves are unwilling to do the work ourselves.

She's cute. Both GenY and Z are execrable. For us GenXers, we saw the world of our parents and grandparents smashed and crippled by the narcissistic selfishness, sloth, cowardice and neurotic venality of the Boomers (who would give birth to GenY and infect them with their same anti-virtue self-absorption.) But we didn't fold like an accordion. Us Gen-Xers simply knew we would have to carve our own path, holding dear to the core principles of our parents and grandparents. We simply sucked it up, buckled down, tied our shoelaces. GenY and GenZ are entitled, spoiled whiners.

Gen-X holds dearly to principles? I am gen-x and I can tell you that my generation, or I guess OUR generation, is mostly morally bankrupt garbage, and they have no principles whatsoever. And no, I'm not being facetious. If you're reading this and you're not gen-x and you're wondering if I'm being serious, yes I am really a gen-x member and yes my generation is mostly trash. People today are woke, and wokeness is mostly trash, but wokeness was derived from PC (politically correct) culture, which is also absolute trash. PC culture and woke culture are mostly indistinguishable. And gen-x created PC culture, or at the very least mainstreamed it. Stop pretending that gen-x is a better generation than baby boomers or millennials. They are not.

Gen-Y believes it all belongs to them and should be given to them; Gen-Z is scared to leave mom's basement and believes it's someone else's fault. Gen-X is all that's left of the GI generation and their supporters in the Silent Generation. We kept all that we could which was good from them. PC came from Boomers, which they trained their spawn Gen-Y as doctrine. And it was the Boomers who paved the way for Wokeism, which Gen-Y and Z have embraced. We in Gen-X are all that's left of what once was.

My sister is gen x. 1980. Im a millennial. 1984. She is clueless about anything that is important. She has 3 kids and thats about it. Gen x is generally clueless about politics and geopolitics. They are trusting in the old system due to ignorance. Not all just in general.
