You couldn't be More wrong saying that there no mystery after this ep..The Big Question isn't Who is Killing the jedi they show you Right away so that NOT the Mystery. Who Trained Mae? Why is she on a Revenge Kick with the Jedi? What's the Bigger picture here? Killing a few Jedi doesn't have any Galactic repercussions or Does it as the Jedi of this Time seem to be worried about their Enemies using this against them.

I mean, the show billed as a "who done it", and we already know. I have the same feeling where theres not really mystery left. Master Sol is a main character and knows what happened when Mae was young, to me that's not as much a mystery as it is simply, intentionally keeping it from the audiance. The main mystery is "who trained mae" but I feel like that's been treated more as an abstract question up to this point. The killing of a few Jedi shouldn't have much repercussions, in the High Republic books they were getting killed all the time. I think it has to do with the deed being done by a rogue force user, but even that doesn't make too much sense as there are other practitioners. Unless their power has been so undermined that they're perceived as weak as a whole, but that doesn't really jive with how people have been reacting to them.

I feel like this is the secret behind so many great murder mysteries (especially in the modern era), that the actual "mystery" winds up being just a catalyst to greater mysteries and reveals in the course of investigation and pursuit. So knowing whodunnit this early really doesn't diminish things that much because there are all these other questions (and more!) still yet to unfold!

That's why I always try to just watch stuff before going to the rest of the internet, especially if there are women or people of color in a show. In a space fantasy show with aliens and magic 😂 so far the lead actor is doing amazing work. I always worry about the dialogue and writing in general with Star Wars stuff, but this was a strong start.

The woke crowd is just as bad as the anti woke crowd. Each with their own echo chambers ratio'ing the other side or downvoting on Reddit. Tastes are subjective so people can like or dislike a show. But the problem with your take is that you feel your opinion is from "actual fans". Seriously take away the anti woke agenda. Listen to the interviews. The showrunner made it clear she doesn't give two shits about the source material or lore. She's all about modernizing the story that she wants to see. Do you seriously wonder why the "fake fans" might get outraged? Now take yourself out of being a Star Wars fans. Imagine yourself of having never seen Star Wars. You come in blind watching the first two episodes and you think this is a great show? Let's forgive the bad dialogue to bad writing but the script is terrible from a plot standpoint. If you take 5 min to think through the sequence of events, it is objectively the dumbest thing I saw in the last 10 years. I'm not even a Star Wars nerd fan who obsess on every little easter egg detail. The show is just dumb, expectations were super high considering the high budget. Hardcore fans are foaming at Disney for taking a shit on their already dying IP, the woke suits in turn are busy blaming those fans instead of acknowledging their own incompetence and the mega casual fans just like to dislike anyone with an opinion for being as they call "anti woke". Well I don't give two shits about either side and still find this show dumb. Thanks

I’m locking in twins as well, but a force dyad. The twin was killed, because her sensitivity leaned dark side. The bad twin had to go to free the good twin for training. Potentially, the High Republic was whacking younglings that leaned dark, to maintain their status quo. Dark side master knew as well, so the culled sensitives were rescued to be trained in the dark side.

Oh good. I thought I was the only one. There is so much "convenience" in this one episode. - There was no way to check if Osha really was on the ship? no cameras or at least a flight log. If she killed the Jedi she must've left the ship at some point. Nobody thinks to check for that? - As Nerdy correctly pointed out: Why TF are Yord and his padawan leaving a "dangerous" force trained supposed-to-be murder with a prison transport, guarded by one droid. So the plot could happen? - Dropping out of hyperspace exactly over a planet, what are the odds?! (Wouldn't have borhered me as much, if not for the other things on this post.) - Surviving, what most certainly would've been a fatal crash, without even a scratch on her, after demonstrating that she "forgot" how to use the force, when she tried to free herself from the cell. I am sorry to say, the writing is very clunky and you can feel the things that HAVE to happen, so there is a story to tell. The opening fight scene was cool though ...

This show isn't bad, I'll probably keep watching it hoping it gets better. Right now though, it just feels lazy and uninspired. Disney needs to hire more writers and pay them better. Speaking of OSHA violations and regulations.... 😏 Happy to see the efforts of BoSS ( Bureau of Ships and Services) represented finally... Sure, it stole EVA work from the Mekneks, but they also championed regulation of apparently phenomenal "Automated Crash Mitigation" systems like a Space ABS and Collision Avoidance to make even a freefall planetary reentry come off semi surviveable.... (But an Aviation Crash Harness doesn't work that way, You wake up in it or you don't wake up) The VFX crew was doing so well, but the "campfire in space" was a..... choice. That being the budget cut point is ... sad.🔥 Twins do not have to be IDENTICAL. Fraternal Twins exist as well. Even of the same gender.

I enjoyed the heck out of it! Meditative Ahsoka was prefaced in Mando and that was my expectation. My ONLY disappointment was no live action Ventress (even in flashback or vision) but that’s an expectation built on raw desire for something which would’ve prolly felt forced, no pun intended. Personally, I’ve been aware of the narrative foibles of Star Wars starting with the first movie and am fully aware of the grace given to something I love. So, while Andor was a pleasant surprise, I’ve never expected anything other than a fleshed out mythological tale in any Star Wars film or series. And IDGAF if that doesn’t satisfy the “Star Wars is serious business” notion of some bro-fan. These are adventure stories one step above The Princess Bride and one step below Krull in seriousness. With all apologies to Gold Leader, those people need to “loosen up!”

I like the idea of Osha being more active in the episode instead of reactive, but if Mae is really and has been alive this whole time wouldn’t;t the Force connection have happened back when Osha was training as a Jedi or when Mae killed Endara? Yord gives off strong Space Cop vibes. I felt the his reaction to meeting Osha again was that he felt he was better than her and he was pissed she wasn’t showing him the amount of deference he believes he’s owed. We see that he’s vain (steaming his clothes kinda like the incel from Andor), and how he could’ve avoided the prison break if he had’ve personally taken Osha back to Corusent, but again he’s a Jedi not some common transporter.

@@Fedaygin I'll watch it through because...Star Wars...the clunky dialogue, weird choices, and some pacing issues are just keeping me from getting really invested in anyone but Sol at this point.

I felt catfished when Carrie-Ann Moss left the show. It's rather silly given the level of technology in Star Wars that someone should die from a little knife stab, even to the heart. Yes, why would the Jedi place a suspected Force-wielding Jedi-murderer in a common automated prisoner transport? It seems that they had discovered the crashed ship...otherwise those were some sorry probe droids they sent. But as the Jedi team searched the ship, they declared no survivors...so where were the bodies? The Jedi continue to make dumb decisions in this show. One hundred years ago, the term "bimbo" originally designated a dumb-but-handsome man. During the first half of the 20th century, the term changed to refer to dumb-but-pretty women.

She didn't track those Jedi down with the force. She literally paid informers to point her in their direction.

There's a lot of little niggly things for me in this. Like, you don't get open flames like that in space. Even with a ruptured air or oxygen line, it would behave differently (and probably be far, far scarier, which would reinforce why they said earlier that work on the outer hull was for droids).
