The UK being a member of the EU could deport migrants back to France under the Dublin agreement. Over 55k migrants were returned to France. Since Brexit, France has no compulsion to do this. The UK has created this problem and the N and S Ireland border is a matter of good will and it could easily close which would mean a return to the troubles. Ireland needs to unite and to be in the EU as one country. The English can't be trusted not to mess things up.

I have been confused about this the whole time. I mean we have drone technology, and it is not even overly expensive. All EU countries should join the UK in taking a harder stance towards any kind of illegal immigration. Stricter rules and make it harder to immigrate into anywhere in Europe. Why are they not claiming asylum in the Scilly and Jersey Isles . O their tax havens for the ruling British Classes. They are also part of the common travel area as is the Isle of Man.

Ireland is not part of Schengen borders. That is the problem. Just as it is not Schengen / France problem if someone leaves Schengen area it is not UK problem when / if someone leaves UK if it is not described in the agreement UK / Ireland in order to have the passport union. If Ireland does not like it they join Schengen ;-) Inside Schengen we have a new system to distribute refugees. We also normally have much mor ID controls and work permit controls making it hard to overstay 90 days in Schengen unlike UK or probably also Ireland.

UK will have Ireland back. That is a must needed for the Ireland instead of just Northern Ireland. Then they'll have more secured Shipments via UK to Ireland for a better boarder check controls 🤷‍♂ But the problem is Ireland is with EU that lets Migrants bypassed. If Ireland and UK stand together it'll secure theirs Islands much better
