The little oil can goes to the sewing machine to keep it running smoothly
@tracy-lynnetl3797Ай бұрын
I believe the oil can should have stayed with the sewing machine. If someone wants to restore it, they'll want the oil can, and it may be hard to find a replacement. I mean, what can you do with that on its own except place it on a pile of books?

No, she will put a sprig of greenery in the spout, then stack it in her books. Then sell it on her website/whatnot. Should have just left it where it belonged; the sewing machine did not have a tag- I bet someone claimed it & was expecting all the pieces to be left with it

I get where it might have been wrong to take (not steal, she paid for it) the little oil can. If she couldn’t find a price, at our bins that usually means it has been purchased by someone and they took the tag up to the register, so basically she might have taken something that someone paid for and they wanted all the accessories in the drawer, including the little oil can. I would have been upset if I bought it and someone took the can out of the drawer

You can buy sewing machine oil anywhere. I would not use that can to oil a machine. I bet that ended up in the landfill. Unfortunately it looks like that machine was not taken care of and the cabinet was falling apart with only one drawer left. The bins are the last stop for everything. I feel bad those parts were left there.

@tracymaddox8546 I was going to reply the same thing. It's not like a regular Goodwill. The bins are the last stop for those items b4 going to landfill. It's sad really. That's why she says "I'm going to rescue this item".

It’s the bins. Anything you pick up gets rescued from the landfill and no one goes there expecting to find pairs together or things in tact. If she hadn’t picked up the oil can it would likely be gone forever to be crushed and buried.
