Noah Arhm Choi and their freedom dream poems

In this edition of HoCoPoLitSo's The Writing Life, poet Noah Arhm Choi speaks about their poetry, their work in the slam poetry community, and their "belief in the power of telling the truth." Choi talks poetry with host Regie Cabico, a Filipino-American slam poet. The author of Cut to Bloom and winner of the 2019 Write Bloody Prize, Choi identifies as a queer poet, writer and educator, who is also a child of Korean immigrants. "I hope my work can do what some of those early works did for me, to say, you belong here, you have a space."
