I used to think Noah is so arrogant before I heard his story ….. if you’re asthmatic and then this is your chosen career and is kicking butts …. Im sorry, you’ve earned the right to be arrogant After looking at him through different lenses - I don’t think he’s arrogant anymore- he’s just confident …. Can’t hate on him for that

@Yes_I_c4n
@Yes_I_c4n 3 ай бұрын
@@realAndresilver His 150m 14.35s WR is not really THE record. I mean it is a Wrecord, but nobody peaks for such an event, so times don't mean much. For instance, Berlin shape Usain split 14.44s (coming off a curve!!). 14.35s on a straight is still fast, but that version of UB was dropping 19.7s and 9.8/9.9s at the time he ran the 14.35s mark. All it takes is someone peaking for the 150m and the record will fall. The 200m though, I don't quite understand your reasoning. How can you say his 200m is beatable, when just last season Lyles' fastest time was "only" 19.47s? His 19.31s might have been an outlier for all we know. And even 19.31s was a perfect performance by Lyles, it won't be easy to top that, let alone to break the WR.
@yawos9024
@yawos9024 3 ай бұрын
@@Yes_I_c4n I doubt if if he could beat Tebogo in the 150 meters on a straight. Tebogo is not very good on the curve, but the kid can accelerate on the straight. Now, he has the fastest 300 meters ever, Noah better watch out.

NO...I don't think so. What I think is happening is, he's being smart. He doing all the smart things, saying all the smart words, playing all the cards right. He's ambitious, he's focused, he's determined. I don't want to see any of Bolts records go. Not yet at least. But if this guy doesn't get them he's going to come really close. Just like Elaine and Sherika have done for the women's 100 & 200m. And that's good for the sport. We have seen the effect this has on the sport on the women's side. Noah wants his sport to grow bigger as he has said like Basketball and American football. Healthy rivalry is good for the sport. He's not trying to create division but rather to win the hearts of all the followers and lovers of the sport, to use that energy to push himself and the sport forward. He sees the love and passion of the nation of Jamaica for track and field. He sees the effect Bolt has. He is not going to try to undermine or upset that fan base. He wants them for his mission to carry on calling attention and increasing the popularity where possible. He said this in not so many words several times in the past. So he's threading carefully. The wearing of the Jamaican shirt, paying homage to the Jamaican greats, promising to entertain the crowd, but wanting to genuinely get those records in the same breath. To me, ITS ALL GOOD. He is good for the sport. I LOVE what he's doing. He's SMART and he's good with what he's doing. Watch him carefully.

Noah is a fun guy, he overcame some tough breaks in his life. Kudos. But he has to accept that his best is passed. If he was gonna break a record, it would be done already. He's 3rd best all time at 200m, after Bolt & Blake. And in the 100m, he's like only the 8th best American (7 US athletes gone faster). His personal best is equal #76, all time, 0.25 seconds from Bolt -- it's not even close to a WR. Let's see if he can beat Letsile Tebogo and the rest of the field, and win some gold medals in Paris.
