I REALLY have to give credit to Noah Lyles. He was very open about how psychologically difficult it was for him to come back after he didn't perform the way he wanted to at the Olympics, but since then he's come back and more than lived up to expectations. He's been consistently a beast at the 200m and he's so much fun to watch! Looking forward to continuing to watch him race in 2023.

He is undoutedly the current king of 200m. I think only Kerly can beat him. No one else. Bednarek doens't improve after the Olympics so as Knighton whom I see a 400m runner more than a 200m. An De Grasse really goes downward real quick and looks like a forgotten man even just 2 years ago he is the Olympic champion.

As good as this young man is, he wouldn't of made the podium in Bolt's prime era. He has the potential to break Bolt's 200 record but not the competition to bring it out of him. Which is even more special because he is literally running against himself only at this point. 2nd place didn't even break 20 second is,..🙄🙄🙄🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️

Now that he's confirmed he'll be attempting the 100/200m double for the first time @Budapest '23, will be interesting to see what effect the additional 100m rounds will have on his stronger 200m event and if that opens the door a little more for the likes of De Grasse, Kenny B & Knighton?!

Knighton definitely hasn't gotten his endurance up for such long seasons yet. He's just a kid though so he'll be fine. He's already proven to have all the potential required to challenge the WR when he gets a bit older. If he stays on task, within the next couple years he's going to be making the competition look foolish. Lyles is still on top of his game, it looked like he'd lost a step before he finally snapped back into form earlier this year. It's good to see him back on his excellence, and Kenny is an impressive runner in his own right. I still hope Fred Kerley gets back healthy and shows out.

Beating Bolt’s record will be a task. I would say a few things will need to come together for it to happen. The race would need to be at altitude, the track would need to be a favorable surface, the temp needs be warm but not over bearing, and Lyle needs make sure the first half of his race is perfect. Even then, it’s a long shot, but then again, we thought Johnson’s record would stand longer than it did.
