Another Great Video! I really enjoyed this one! I remember playing this game a few times, there was something about it I liked. I thought it was a prototype that was never finished and I didn’t look into it any further. I’m glad you decided to do some research and post a video explaining it all. Now that I have a better understanding of this game I’ll have to revisit this one. I always knew Noah had a tough job but I wasn’t aware he had to deal with quill throwing porcupines!😄

Thanks Cluckster. I found the thread over at AA and the whole story around the game very interesting:)

At the beginning of the pandemic I started watching a variety of retro videos on youtube, and I could swear I saw one about "mature" video games for the 2600 and that completely surprised me! I remember seeing a couple, I believe, about Christian 2600 games too.

This game looks amazing for the limitations of the system 😮 I hope i get a chance to play it some day.

You are right, there are a lot of big egos on AtariAge.

I spend a lot of time on the forum but I don't really personally know anybody there. I've never attended any retro gaming conferences etc. I absolutely don't doubt what you are saying though.

Cute game, it looks like it could be fun compared to the other 2600 games of the era. It does have an activision look to it.

Are there any other Bithead1000 subs here? Just curious.

I had to look up what Bithead1000 was. There are several 1K and up subscribers to my channel but I don't know exactly how many.

Did you say its a 8K ROM? Whats the biggest Atari ROM size? If you know.

Official 2600 release was a 32k rom of Fatal Run, PAL/European only release by Atari. Vehicular combat. Looks kinda like a souped up Enduro. It had a fancy title screen and a really cool ending animation. It was one of the last games released for the 2600 so it came in the red box format. It's been re-released by Atari on their website for the 7800 with better graphics.

If I had to guess I would say the majority of the games for the 2600 were 4K ROMS. I think Asteroids might have been the first 8K cart that Atari released. There were several 16K games that came out later in the 2600's life. Dig Dug, Solaris, Track & Field and Millipede are a few of them.

Audacity Games is using 256K. They wanted Alien Abduction to be released as a 256K ROM, but John Van Ryzin objected due to the workload for health reasons.

Your video quality is fantastic, but it seems like the views and subscribers aren't reflecting that just yet. With 1.02k subscribers and 43 videos, you're on the right track, but there's a key element missing-SEO optimization. By applying effective SEO strategies to your videos, you can significantly boost their visibility. This will help your videos rank higher in KZbin's search results, bringing in more views, subscribers, and long-term growth for your channel. Start optimizing your titles, descriptions, and tags to maximize your reach and get the recognition you deserve

I appreciate it and I'm sure you're right. But it is also a very saturated but small niche that my videos are targeted for. I do try my very best to make my Videos stand out good with the editing and everything. I'm thinking about branching out and doing some videos about my favorite 80s movies since that would draw a wider audience. I'm am nervous though about getting flagged for copyright infringement. Thanks for watching and commenting:)
