You know, this song kinda reminds me of back in school, when I was the class clown. Literally couldn't wait for daytime and to go to school and get a few laughs, tell dumb stories that were only half-truths, because once home I was miserable & left on my own. When we were about to graduate, no one asked about my plans, no one asked about my contact info - in reality I was just nothing to everyone there as well. I normally don't put songs on repeat, but I literally kept pressing replay - I love this more simplistic style but with some melodic quirks and the major feel to the song in the second play of the verse I love! The melodic steps of the "Take care love" dropping the note at the end of the riff gives the line "without a home" so much more satisfaction and emotion and the way that riff is sung is similar to when a voice would slightly break while speaking upset in real life. The intro and outro are great to ease in and to ease out of the song and its solemn sentiment, and the change to the melody extending "dark nights can be lonely without a home" into one phrase is pure song-writing expertise.
