Kennedy Aalo -- That is such a good point. I know a lady who gets so mad when someone identifies her as male just because she is lesbian. She corrects them and makes sure that they know she is fully female. Trisha thinks putting on a wig and trying to impersonate a guy makes her gender male? She needs to stop with her click bait. It is offending a lot of people. (edited typo)

trigger warning! When I was raped at 13, I questioned my gender identity for a while. I even went through a period of identifying as a guy because I felt like that was who I truly was. I got confused and my PTSD was at an all-time high. I attempted suicide and was hospitalized, my PTSD was actually treated and I realized that I just felt that I would feel safer as a man. It would be less likely for me to be raped again if I had a penis. I've successfully gone through a PTSD-specific treatment for everything I've gone through, and I have come to understand that it's common for girls who are raped to question their identity. I'm glad I realized who I really am and that it's okay to feel the way I did.

She doesn’t know any of the terms and I HAVE NO IDEA how she could have been seeing a gender therapist for 6 months and doesn’t know these terms?? I understand if she was trying to dumb down the language for her regular viewers, but she continues this theme in her other two videos which are specifically directed at the hate she’s getting and the trans people talking about her, so I feel like she just doesn’t know what the words mean.

It feels like shes feeling like femininity is a performance for her (which It kinda is!) and masculinity feels like a relief from that performance. But that's not gender. I'm a cis lady and sometimes dressing more butch/handsome gives me a sort of confidence that dressing more feminine doesn't but i still identify with my body and am comfortable being read as female.

Trisha seems to be falling into the same boat as a lot of us (myself included) who have had a phase of "not like the other girls" because I thought that to be less like other women would make me more valuable, because society has favored men for AGES. And now I know that in order to get past that deeply rooted misogyny, it's important to lift other women up. Being "not like other girls" doesn't make me better. There is no one way to be a girl anyway.

I just want to make sure I understand what is being stated here, as I've reread this comment a few times and don't seem to be understanding it any better than the first time I read it..... ... So... "I identify with guys more" was Trisha's way of saying that she's always found it easier to associate with men... And you're suggesting that's internalized sexism? Against whom? Women? How is that so? From where does the internalization originate?.... And, while we're on the topic, can the same be said for men who claim they identify with women more?

Exactly. I’m non-binary but clothing has nothing to do with it. Gender identity is completely different from gender expression. I am feminine sometimes but that doesn’t make me any less non-binary. Women don’t have to be feminine, enbies don’t have to be androgynous and men don’t have to be masculine.

I also own clothes that are men’s clothes because I like the way they look and also WHY DONT WOMEN HAVE PLAIN HOODIES, WHY DO THEY ALWAYS HAVE WORDS ON THEM LIKE “princess” OR “baddie” LIKE YES IMMA WALK INTO THE MENS SECTION TO GET A BIG ASS PLAIN WHITE HOODIE. Does that make me a “gay man” NO! Hunny is confused.
