As a mother whos son was born without a leg and hip it’s infuriating to see women like this, I did everything right, no drinking, no smoking, etc. I lived and breathed for my unborn baby, I worked with a lady who smoked and did cocaine (secretly but we all knew because it was spilled by another user) while pregnant, I couldn’t even hide my distaste towards her, I was also very envious that a women like that had a fully normally developed baby and mine has the fate is has. I am a recovering alcoholic ( I celebrated a year alcohol free Feb. 4, 2024) and I have 3 children ages 23, 19 and 11. I can be the first to admit that abstainance from alcohol is always hard. I can honestly say that through some divine intervention I lost the desire and taste for alcohol every single time. It not only smelled like shit to me, but the mere thought of drinking made me feel like i would have been pouring liquor in my baby's bottle. Even while breastfeeding it just seemed wrong. I'm not here to judge, but to all the ladies out there who even think that they are with child, if you feel you can't stop on your own, please seek help. Even if only for the duration of the pregnancy.

You don't need to be a medical practitioner to know as a pregnant woman you shouldn't drink, do drugs or smoke, everything you eat and drink goes through to your baby via the umbilical cord. Your newborn baby will actually crave any of the above substance causing baby to cry excessively, not be able to sleep, loss of appetite etc. Your baby development will also suffer and can even effect their mental development, motor skills etc. Children are a blessing as mother's we are angels to our children to protect them, nurturing them and most of all love them unconditionally.

Drinking while pregnant is literally worse than doing heroin while pregnant. Alcohol n crack have a lot of the same side effects on babies. I worked with women who had drug problems n some had babies n the ones who were drinking while pregnant their babies did look like her baby. Wide set eyes. N the cry I only heard one cry like that. But I'm not a nurse or doctor. I just worked with women who had babies n used during pregnancy. But alcohol is literally one of the worst things you can do while pregnant. It effects the baby in so many bad ways. Any baby born with fetal alcohol syndrome usually has a lot of issues. Praying for the baby 🙏🙏🙏🙏 all prayers to the baby🙏🙏🙏🙏 such selfish despicable behavior. I think the baby had surgery for a hernia recently, would that provider & those nurses not have taken any action if they felt he had FAS? So yes they would in some states. Unfortunately not all states have the legal authority to test for drugs if they don’t show symptoms or have reason to test the baby. I think she had her baby in Baltimore so I don’t know you might be able to google if they can by law drug test the cord without consent. Another problem is with legal marijuana, women are saying in the hospital that their doctors gave them a marijuana card and never told them they can smoke week while pregnant but that’s common in my opinion to not smoke weed, I’ve heard women say they smoked weed while pregnant and their baby is fine and etc but what I will tell you is that since we don’t know the long term effects of marijuana smoking while pregnant yet it would be another 5-20 years for a solid study on that problem, but yeah babies born with marijuana in their system is pretty common now and the doctors are kind of disappointed by it and nurses but what can be done about it? Fetal alcohol syndrome, even if a baby is born with those symptoms while in the hospital….they still go home with the mothers and you get visitation from CPS and social workers for a month maybe 2 and if they don’t see any danger to the child case is closed. CPS fails many children. I don’t know if her baby has FAS but I wouldn’t be surprised, excessively smoking weed while pregnant could potentially cause issues in development later on, but the girl I can’t even call her a woman, is not fit to be a mother. She had that babies head dangling backwards from a carrier which is ridiculous cause we all know when you hold a baby what is the first thing we learn? “Watch the babies head and neck”. She’s getting a tattoo on her face while her baby is what 6-7 mos old so right there that’s strange! At 6 mos post partum that was not on my mind to go get a face tattoo I was focused on learning to be a mom. We all have to learn. She doesn’t seem to care to want too! She’s on live and that’s got her attention more than being a mom and trying to be a better mom. I pray for that baby boy. His parents have the finances to provide a nice life for him but have no damn sense and my grandma used to say “people with alot of money can have no damn cents!” 🙏 god willing somebody in their families will raise that baby and give him security and love and a normal life and let the parents come around but not be in their total care and make her and blue face pay child support to provide the child with the help he will need. I can’t diagnose a baby I am not qualified to do that but I have a gut feeling that baby boy will need some assistance developmental wise and emotionally as well. He’s an infant surrounded by chaos and the incredible thing about babies is they are vulnerable and cannot obviously care for themselves but they sense stress,sadness,anger, chaos just like they sense love and safety and comfort. He’s very sweet and docile looking boy whether he has FAS or not. I have seen babies with FAS and they are still adorable. Let’s pray that this baby defies all odds stacked against him ❤

This is so sad it hurts my heart so bad my son is autistic I was a addict I went and got help soon as I found out I was 🤰🏾 sad but dr. Told me I couldn't stop using til. I was in a methadone program I move all the way to NYC from upstate th got help asap came back my son came out addicted to methadone he was in the nicu for 5weeks I spent every waking day and night there with him since I couldn't stay over they wouldn't let me and I wouldn't wish that on nobody! The thing that really upsets me. Is there a woman out here? Who would give anything to have a child? And I'm one of them. I have PCOS and it makes it very hard if not, impossible to get pregnant. Yes, then we see these pregnant women Drinking and smoking while they're pregnant and I don't know if the Baby has fetal alcohol syndrome cri du chat syndrome. If it's the fetal alcohol syndrome that was caused by her drinking while she was pregnantif it's the cat cry. That's when you're missing a chromosome, it's not hereditary. It's like one in a million chance of a child getting it. But you can definitely tell something's wrong. I would lean more towards the that cry. Because if you hear that baby cry it sounds exactly like a cat. Also, also, the baby is not hitting any milestones. Usually new parents are excited to show when their baby Rose over or when they begin to start crawling, walking in a walker, Trying recoregular foods. He doesn't do any of that. You never see any toys or learning sent toys for the baby. You barely ever see him and close? It's always a blanket. I just feel sorry for the baby because she really didn't want this baby.
