My favorite memories of Lake Louise: I walked very fast from parking lot to see it, then turn around to run back to my parents and lead them the way. Since I learned the lake would be on the left after a bunch of trees, I purposely blocked my parents' views to the left till reaching the spot where the whole lake is exposed. BAM, I turned their shoulders 90 degrees then to let them see what's in front. My mom literally gasped and screamed of shock of joy. She wasn't prepared at all for that level of beauty. We rent a boat thing right there and spent many hours again around the lake afterwards.

I just got back from Jasper-Banff. Spent 5 days in Jasper and it was stunning. You need to go back and do the amazing trails up there! I agree with Lake Louise; I didn't enjoy it as much because of the crowds, and I went at 8 pm! I can't imagine how crazy crowded it must be during the day. Was not a highlight, but it was a must-do.

My favorite was Moraine Lake- I fell in love with that place so I ended up visiting that place 3 times. Peyto Lake was my second favorite and luckily I took an additional hike from the viewpoint and I'm glad I did that because it was a less crowded and amazing view. @bigdavid3514 жыл бұрын
Drewskinator 007 we went the last week of June through first week and a half of July. Certain areas like Moraine lake, lake Louise, the Columbia Icefield, etc were crowded. But we got up at 4am everyday to go to those, so we missed the BIG crowds. One of our favorite hikes was Hector lake. My wife and I were the only ones there. It was 4:30am and it was the most peaceful hike/lake we’ve ever been to. The trailhead is not even marked, and if it weren’t for the AllTrails app we wouldn’t have been able to even find it
@bigdavid3514 жыл бұрын
Drewskinator 007 but, the weather at the time we went was amazing. 40s at night and 65 during the day. Until you get to certain elevations it can get down to 30-40 degrees during the day. Loved it!!!

My family has been going there every summer for the last few years. We spend about 10 days there, with most of our time in Jasper. Last year we also spent a few nights in Banff, but we find Jasper to be more enjoyable - quieter, and less busy. This coming summer after Jasper we will be spending a few days in Panorama. I love it in the Rockies, and my two kids can't get enough. Great video, dude.
@cwaddell1714 жыл бұрын
Great video. I did a pretty similar trip last June too. Though the timing wasn't quite right (still some snow about, lakes frozen, and Morraine Lake was half empty and looked nothing like it did while you were there). I'll definitely have to go back sometime. I also second booking places in advance for anyone reading this. I booked 3 months in advance and stayed in hostels and motels, and even then it was hard to find affordable accommodation. I couldn't find anywhere in Jasper, so stayed an hour beyond there in Valemount, and went back to finish exploring around Jasper and that end of the Icefields Parkway the next day (which I also stopped on as much as I could).
