Man he is dry, he’s brilliant, I’d listen to a podcast with him no problem. Pure radio voice

Noam can sing lead ANY time; he's a wonderful singer. When I got this album, I didn't know what to expect- I really didn't know much about Noam Pikelny except for seeing/hearing him on KZbin, and he wasn't singing. When I first put the album on, as soon as the 2nd track came on, and I heard his singing, it really took me back to the folk music of my childhood way back, with Pete Seeger and Burl Ives, and the Kingston Trio. It's wonderful that music like this is still alive today.

WOW!!! This is insanely different and wonderful!!! One always associates banjo with Bluegrass and other southern musical forms.. and jazz of course. But this is ... ok not quite sure WHAT to call it: but i FREAKIN' LOVE IT!!!

Some have taken to calling it Newgrass? It grew, at least in part, out of bluegrass, in particular as master bluegrass musicians -- that is, master musicians whose training and careers originated in the bluegrass tradition -- began to heavily integrate classical and jazz influences into their playing and composition.

I can forget almost anything while this virtuoso plays. Doesn't matter what I'm doing...it compels me to listen.
