Noam, what a blessed life your parents gave you; giving you a wonderful foundation of how life should be amongst people. I enjoyed hearing and listening to all that you had to say. Thank you. Excellent listen. Gives me hope to hear an Israeli voice on the ground. I've got your back too. ❤from Australia xx

Loveliest, wittiest, most therapeutic conversation I’ve listened to in a long while ❤ Thank you! The compassion and complexities are so deep and human. Instant fan of Noam. I’d been getting radicalised following the massacres and suffering from the horrors of what Palestinians are going through and the helplessness of us watching it, I was losing any compassion for Israeli society identifying everyone with the IDF and that’s not a good way to go. We all need to be part of the conversation that one day I hope is going to bring us closer together. If we fail to do that, the future is looking very very grim. Keep it up, loving your humour, needing the therapy.❤

Another great episode.. The Irish have solidarity with palestine cos we faced colonisation, oppression, and famine at the hands of the British. On being white Bassem Youssef called us the brown people of Europe, which is fair :) ☮ Sláinte

per the intro convo (great topic btw), i believe there is definitely a racialization thing. there is a very popular idea that it is MUCH worse to be an Israeli (thus, 'civilized', often European-descended, often middle class) who is held in Gaza (whose negative connotations are very racialized) than it is to be a Palestinian, being unjustly held in Israeli prisons. and the thing is that most pro-Pali folks really don't believe they can bring up the Israeli hostages without unintentionally invoking those very dominant racial connotations that frankly MOST people already have ingrained in them. i understand this, but i do think Israeli hostages can be brought up in ways that don't actually serve that racialized imbalance of 'Israelis hostages are experiencing unimaginable horror.. and its just unforunate for the Palestinian detainees'. on the other hand, i do think that many of the 'status quo' Zionists (people who aren't at all hardcore zionists but believe the mainstream narratives nonetheless) see the Israeli hostages as the MAIN or even at times ONLY issue to be dealt with right now, while pro-Palis see... too many issues to even reliably name in a list. this definitely creates a stark difference between how much the hostages are being brought up on those two sides. i have heard the Israeli hostages brought up by pro-Pali's, as Sammy said, in the context of basically "we are going to need a ceasefire in order to get a hostage deal"

I'm still in the middle of podcast, I'm worried that she never referred to palestine as palestine and just palestenians living in isr@el or West banka and gaza
@gracehetfield53313 күн бұрын
Most Israelis don't refer to Palestinians in Israel or outside of it as Palestinian. They call them Arabs to erase their Palestinian identity. IDK why this worries you so much.

Wow, call me overcritical - she actually just reveals another reason to believe that is-no-real was behind October 7 and she does not even seem to think it is like this.

@UniteforAll3 күн бұрын
Wouldn't say they were behind it but I do think she doesn't realise or want to admit that palestenians were treated so badly that led to some reacting in a bad way and commitign oct7. But the mountains of injustice and crimes done by the zios are nothing when compared to the hill of what was done.
@giuliana4133 күн бұрын
@@UniteforAll I’ve listened to her speak before. But even in this interview, I don’t know why you would think she doesn’t know how terribly the Palestinians have been treated…and that October 7th was absolutely the result of Israel dehumanizing them! Made just listen to more of her work?
