Only opening Dumdum cantonment in Yellow line makes no sense atleast railway should find a way to commission from Noapara to Jessore road to make the line feasible for valid operation

@@rumamodak3467 it is a fault of both state and Central, Kolkata metro is a part of Indian railway, Railway themselves delayed construction for years, Railways had cut off funding for Kolkata metro multiple times many times making metro operate in bare minimum funds, on now it's election so they had increased funds, and even in construction of metro which were on Railways own unencroached land metro took more than 5yrs to start physical work that also with delays like Dakhineshwar to Noapara or Noapara to Jessore road even in 2017~18 metro paused construction on Jessore road stretch for no reason and even green line or east west metro who's sector V to saltlake stadium stretch which as completed by KMRC and was ready for operation by 2018 Indian railway took 2yrs to start commercial operations just because of railways bureaucrats lack of interest. Despite Indian railway being so bureaucratic railways never intended to handed Kolkata metro to KMRC (independent body) just for ego and pride issues and yes State govt is too involved not helping in resolving land clearance or encroachment clearance nor taking part in funding though state govt is slightly valid as railway wants states to fund but refused to give any share holding in Kolkata metro (ego and pride issues comes in from both side) so yeah both state and central is equally responsible

This small stretch is a priority section. It will help commuters from Bongaon or Hasnabad or any place near the route reach Dakshineswar at lesser time and avoid congestion of Dumdum Jn. Railway station.
