I wonder if the Earthen Ring will show up cause honestly seems like they could be of great help with all this elemental stuff.

I wouldnt be surprised if some of the primalists split off from the Ring. And maybe the schism left them wounded/weakened. Get to see my Boi Nobundo again in a future patch hopefully

Yeah my biggest question is where did the primalist cult come from? Not the primalist proto-dragons but the mortal races. Maybe some of the smaller none leader proto-dragons weren't imprisoned and were able to spread the word until it got to that Grimtotem guy?
@stormstrider19902 жыл бұрын
Like in real life, mortals are easy to lure into evil organizations with promises of power, forbidden knowledge, vengeance, and whatnot. During Cataclysm, thousands joined the Twilight's Hammer, either out of fear or personal gain. There were also N'zoth cultists during BfA, and the Cult of the Damned re- emerged during the Shadowlands pre- patch.

I mean, the Centaur ARE based off the Mongolian people. So it ain’t really that surprising that the place they’d live in would resemble the Mongolian steppes.

Ngl I would rather have had a deep dive into the green dragonflight rather than a new storyline with the centaur. Every other flight was the centerpiece of their own storyline but the Greens were overshadowed by the centaurs, here's hoping that this decision was made because a future patch will focus solely on the green dragonflight, and with the new Ysera questline I think that will be the case

This new background about the centaur. Where is it coming from? I did the quests In Ohn'ahran and read them. No quest talked about how they got there.

Nice seeing more of Merithra. There's a lot of story potential, and her model is cute.
@SampoPaalanen2 жыл бұрын
I think the scars on the Night Elf might explain why they work with Primalists even though without the Arcane (and by extension) the Titans they wouldn't exist and are in fact part of the "titan's taint" as much as dragons, humans, dwarves and gnomes even more so all being descendants Titanic constructs, the Vrykul, Earthen and Mechanognomes to be exact. It's not really being who is right or not but rather getting the power to avenge Teldrassil for the Kaldorei and other personal goals for other children of the Titans.
@stormstrider19902 жыл бұрын
I think it's a similar deal with Koraleth as with Sira Moonwarden. Losing everything to the flames probably caused her to lose faith in Elune, but unlike Sira, she wasn't raised into undeath, and manipulated into aiding the people responsible for the tragedy. Koraleth probably spent the following years lost in despair, until the Primalists found her. They may have offered her vengeance on the Horde, but since her goal was the Emerald Dream, it makes me think she knew about the seed. Maybe she thought the Primalists could bring her family back to life.

It's so funny to me how people get mad about species origin lore being recontextualized to give them new origin dates or locations, being completely ignorant to the fact that that happens in real life, so is very plausible.

How does the timeline work? Because I thought the Dragon Isles had been abandoned before the War of the Ancients?
@Nobbel872 жыл бұрын
Nah afaik the timeline works like this: War of the Ancients plays out - Centaur fight - World wins - Land is sundered Centaur guided by Ohn ara to the dragonisles, waterwalking buff or maybe just before the conclussion of the war The dragon isles drained of their magic/elements caus of the sundering. Dragons fly out to heal the world. Shut off the lights in the hopes of one day isles will reawaken. This is supported by the intro cutscene they did. The world is sundered Alexstraza says and they fly out to go to its aid.

@Marcus Blackwell I guess if we get some story that a small fraction of the old centaur survived long enough it vaguely works. But they need to invent so many footnotes and amendments to justify the Centaur. It's a relatively minor change, adding a new origin to the Centaur but it does feel really lazy imo

Gonna be honest, I found the centaur lore in dragonflight to be the most boring and forgettable lore in a long time. I mean shadowlands had frustrating lore retcons, but at least it wasn't boring like the centaur lore here. And I hate that since I love centaur in fiction, one of my fav mythical races

I dont get how a race built on physical strength has only females in charge. Every tribe except for ofc the villians has a female khan. If blizzard wants equality then make it half and half. Keep the deaf chick i like her. But the shaman or that side tribe at the end shouldve had some males in leadership too.
