you're supposed to mix the bibim bbap. It translates to mixed rice..hence mix the food. And needs some some gochu jang sauce to mix in.

As a Korean, I personally agree that Bibimbap tastes way too underwhelming. You'd expect it to taste like fried rice or Joloff rice without all the spices but it's very bland and everything tastes the same.

Its actually very proper to use your hand in sushi, its a hand food. not sure why so many people use chopsticks.. Historically its grab and eaten by hand.
