Have you tried a hotdog like the commercials for that saw to see if it does actually stop like it’s supposed to? I really find it hard to believe a saw spinning that fast can stop immediately without cutting like they showed with the hot dog.

The cartridge is only good for one use, and they cost over $110.00 dollars each. That would be an expensive test but it would be nice to know if it really works!

I have an extra cartridge, but yeah, it's over $100. I've seen enough demonstrations on KZbin to believe it will work as intended. Wet wood, or anything electrically conductive will actuate it as well. The reason it works so fast is that the brake snaps into the blade and the momentum of the blade brings it below the table within a few milliseconds. It destroys the brake cartridge and often bends the blade as well. So the total cost of an actuation is north of $250...
