Yup, Squirrel Girl's explicit "thing" is that she can't be beaten. This doesn't mean she'll get her win in a fight per se - a number of her wins are convincing people to hang out instead of causing trouble, making some wild friends in the process. So, because it does get asked from time to time: the entirely correct answer to who'd win between her and Saitama is "both of them", as they'd just end up grabbing lunch and playing video games. It's the only way for that to encounter to play out without ignoring how each of them actually works.

Squirrel girl actually has a few other powers that dont come up often because they're also silly and probably made up on the spot. Aside from having claws on the ends if her fingers she also has several inch long spikes she can extend out of her knuckles almost like Wolverine because of course she can. She's the only individual Deadpool is afraid of, and like Deadpool she is also aware that she's in a comic book, but is contractually obligated by Marvel to act like she doesn't, however her squirrels have no such contract and so can break the 4th wall for her.

@@CuppaLLX I actually don't know much about She-Hulk, but I have the impression she is still controlled by her writers. She's aware of it, communicates with the writers, and tries to convince them to take the plot in different directions... but is ultimately controlled by them. Squirrel Girl seems to have direct control (maybe subconsciously) over the plot. If she needs to win a battle, why fight? Just make the enemy lose mysteriously, with no explanation. It's a comic, so anything is possible. I like to think the cutie with a thicc tail is the most powerful character in existence and she doesn't realize it.

At the end of the day, Batman is a detective. If he is put into a scenario where he can't be a detective, he will struggle against anyone sufficiently super-human. Thats the point of the prep time argument. Given a sufficient amount of knowledge and time, batman could procure some way, some thing, or some one who could defeat the threat. Because that's what he does. But that's not really a fair fight. That's basically letting another player start with more stars in mario party

The thing is though, there is a very famous clip on youtube of Batman meeting a character that can move and shape and destroy things with her mind. And he walks away from that situation precisely because he walks in with no intention of fighting. The way Batman would 'defeat' Wanda, would be to find the quickest path to solving her problem, ideally with no death involved, and then walking up to her and giving it to her.

Recently a squirrel fell down my chimney and got loose in my house. I was admittedly trying to shoo it out without hurting it, but it took almost an hour to get rid of it. I think that I heard from somewhere, that her actual power is not actually squirrel related, but she is actually a reality warper and doesn't realise it. She thinks that she has squirrel powers, and it alters reality to give her such powers, along with armies of squirrels, and makes it so all opponents are equally susceptible to said squirrel powers. In terms of comics and stories, she passively alters the meta to make herself the squirrel based hero, makes the idea of power levels meaningless. Her charm would probably be lost if any part of it was taken seriously.

Batman generally wins when the writers decide it would be more interesting for him to win. Since he doesn't have powers, it is usually more interesting for him to win. Squirrel Girl wins whenever the writers decide it would be funnier for her to win. Since she has relatively weak and silly powers, it is usually funny for her to win. Thus, Squirrel Girl would definitely defeat Batman. It would not be that interesting for Batman to win because her powers are relatively weak, and besides, she's adorable. It would be funny for Squirrel Girl to win because Batman is so serious and kind of a sourpuss.

In the Christmas issue of Great Lakes Avengers which started the trope, she does defeat MODOK on screen, and Dr Doom's issue was that he literally had trouble targeting small fast moving squirrels. I get in the same "power scaling" arguments when it comes to anyone vs Master Chief. Besides the armor and strength and training, he is also lucky on a cosmic scale. Guardians have powers and defeated "gods" (arguably solo) but Chief literally has luck on his side to help him prevail over all others.

Since it was brought up, with Death Battle, one match I'd love to see is Liu Kang VS Ryu, but it'd have to be with both characters being composites of different iterations, especially since both Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter have different continuities to factor in, more with MK and how it's reset it's universe twice over game-wise with implications in one game that other MK media could be canon via timeline restarts. Other than that, I'd love Robin Hood VS King Arthur, much as it'd be mostly one-sided for Arthur given his legends tend to feature magical elements more where with Robin Hood, magic being an element is more dependent on your iteration, like Robin of Sherwood having Robin Hood be a title that also comes with a magic sword, but that's just that version, other iterations maybe simply keep things grounded as best it can for the period they're trying to represent. Though I imagine that even then, it'd be like Hercules VS Sun Wukong where it'd mostly be kept to their main known and told stories over factoring that certain shows or movies because of what they featured.
