Nobody Told Me This About Moving To Ethiopia! Am I Regretting?

Hello! I am from the U.S. and just moved to Ethiopia about 2 weeks ago. I am on Addis and if you want to meet up, let me know!
@afem98622 жыл бұрын
Welcome back! I heard your story and emotions when talking to the driver. I want to tell you two things. One is the fact that how common it is for some people to talk negatives. Second, now you know how strong the 110 million Ethiopians are living in this situation. You just have to get used to it and adapt your new environment. The world is not for those who are weak. Be strong and keep on moving.

If I were her, I would just leave. Kenya is a lot better. No need to get used to suffering.
@Noname-cu4dx2 жыл бұрын
@@ajl2232 I wouldn’t call it suffering, we all have difficulties when we move to a different place. Idk about her situation but from my families experience when we first moved to USA it was difficult for us to adjust to it even though my dad lived here for 9 years before taking us too. I hope she enjoys her stay in Ethiopia. If ur Kenyan,hi, I love y’all’s culture and I hope to visit there in the near future.
@afem98622 жыл бұрын
When I say be patience and get used to it I wasn't trying to say get used to the suffering. I don't want anyone to get used to suffering. We deserve better just because we are human beings. However, for her to say it is suffering in just the first day of arrival to another country I found it too much complain. Honestly, I think she over acted a little in her use of words. She could've described it differently. The surprising part is that this is not the first time she visited Ethiopia and all her previous experiences had been great at least according to her own words. Therefore, just because she experiences uncomfortable situation once in a while, to completely paint the whole environment as a suffering is unfair. Anyways, I hope she gets back to the norm soon and starts enjoying. God bless!

I’m from Kenya 🇰🇪 and I have been living in the US since 2013 .If you move, your life will never be the same. At first, you will be very excited about everything new you will get to see and experience, so the first months will be different and difficult. Queen be strong 💪 I know you can do better !! Keep rocking Insha Allah Be safe out there , travel safe ✊💪🩸

I totally understand your frustration. Even though Kenya is not far away from Ethiopia. My friend do this if you can. Try to stay in one place a little bit longer. Find a church that you can be affiliated with if you’re Cathlic like most Kenya’s I assume look for that church. Build a friendship there so people can lookout for you. When you travel within Ethiopia or outside you have someone you trust to call back and ask any local information. Don’t worry it’ll all work out like anywhere else you have to be cautious and build relationships. Good luck Sis! 🙏🏼💚💛☮️❤️

As moving to any country, there is always a challenge. But if you did your homework before you move, it makes things less challenging. Don’t ever think , it’s going to be easy because you have the resources. If it works , that’s great. If not, you are 2 hrs flight away. The most important thing is respect the people, the culture, and live as a local. Don’t complain, just learn. You are in a different country.

If it turns on its a good sign. Your SATA cable might have been dislodged when it fell. There are many spots you can take it to to get it checked out. If you feel confident enough there are youtube videos that can help you trouble shoot it and do it yourself. It might be as simple as opening the back and making sure the cable is properly attached to your hard disk

What kind of visa do you have that allows you to " move" to Ethiopia as a Kenyan?
@na37662 жыл бұрын
Kenyans don’t need a visa to go to Ethiopia as long as the stay there for only three months then she leaves then goes back .Ethiopians also don’t need a visa to come to Kenya
@janemalone4842 жыл бұрын
Kenyans can travel to Ethiopia as tourists without a visa. However, if you want to live and work in Ethiopia you need to go through all the right channels and get the correct residence ID card and work permit. Otherwise, you could run into trouble, especially if you are well known from this channel. Take care of yourself.

My dear sister please don't be discouraged by a random taxi driver's opinion. One thing I have to truthfully would like to make you aware is that in the past 12 months Ethiopia was on the verge of collapse -- thanks to the terrorist group TPLF/Woyane/TDF and its Tigrayan supporters who reside,not only in Tigray, but also throught out other Ethiopian provinces. Tigrayans who live in Ethiopia as well as diaspora have been aiding and abating the evil terrorist TPLF group to wage war, massacre innocent children, women and men in hopes of gaining power. Fortunately, that didn NOT happen. However, Ethiopians are still fearful and mindful of Tigrayans living in Addis and other parts of Ethiopia because of their dedicate pledge and affinity to this terrorist organization TPLF/Woyane/TDF. Please don't be bothered. You are part of us and always welcomed !
