I liked the price more than I liked this locker, but since I struck out at the live storage auction, I thought "Why not?" I bought this little locker for just one dollar with little expectations, and surprisingly we are going to make a big profit from it. The gold alone sails me into the profit!

Jack I still have you beat on the gold, not that it's a competition. I went to a yard sale. There was a hub cap that had some jewelry pieces in it. I picked up 6 items. Paid a dollar. One a ring. I thought the ring might be .925. When I got back into my car. I was looking closer to the things. The ring wasn't silver, it was white gold. 14k. I paid just over $0.15 for the ring. It's pretty. Etched. My heart was really thumping.

As a person with 3 different kinds of glasses that I can never find, I have learned a trick or two. There should be a magnifier app on your phone. If not, you can always take a photo and blow it up. I especially like the photos for reading markings on jewelry and art because you can enhance them to read almost any marking.

I used to do auctions once upon a time but they became unprofitable here due to all the auctions going online and prices going through the roof as a result. Thanks for the memories. It's crazy how geography will change the value of stuff. Most of the things you put aside with exception of the giftcards, jewelry and electronics would be rags where I live. Literally no one would want it. Even the designer and retro gear gets ignored. It doesn't help that of the roughly 20 flea markets that existed 15 years ago in my city, only two or three are even open anymore and they get a tenth of the foot traffic they once had.

to de-scent all the clothes add a cup of white vinegar to the wash AND 1/2 cup to the rinse. or just donate them all and let someone else worry about washing them.

Just found your video by accident. I've got a few things to say: 1. When sorting through clothing in trash bags(specifically), dump the entire bag out, then sort to assure that you don't encounter some hidden danger. Like bad bugs, spiders and scorpions. It looks like you're from Cali, and I don't know what are dangerous in your neck of the woods. But you don't know where these bags and boxes of clothes come from, but east of the Rockies, Fiddleback, Wolf, and Black Widow spiders abound. And they like bags and boxes of stuff. I suppose it could be true for snakes too. 2. Wear gloves to protect yourself from contaminated clothing, like fentanyl. 3. What will you do with clothing you don't want? In OK, the local Salvation Army partners with other community outreaches that helps homeless people get back on their feet with finding employment (there are businesses that specifically hires the homeless through this program), helps them get an apartment and helps them furnish through these donations of clothing, furniture, bedding. (just no food items human or pet). Shoes, housewares, pots and pans, dishes, trash cans, etc. 4. Be kind, and wash those clothes, etc so the Salvation Army doesn't have to. (use fabric softners too) 5. You know that little nervous snicker chuckle that you do. It comes off creepy.. And all the "paperwork" stuff: did you look through them better? Specifically for genealogy. Please don't trash any genealogy, try to find descendants.

Here in San Francisco, and other big cities, only dangerous critter lurking in basement boxes are the ubiquitous black widow spider. But even those are rare to see. Yeah, I would definitely be wearing latex gloves that sell 100 to a box. I use those all the time around the house, even when carving a rotisserie chicken.

I get people buy clothing with the brand in mind but in the same factories these thing are sewn together they are sewing clothes from Walmart. You are basically paying quadruple or more for a tag that is sewn into or on a piece of clothing. Just like close to all Nikes are made in Asia somewhere. I fall for it to. Especially when you have kids wanting the same shoes as the rest of the kids. It’s a shame a tag determines your self worth.

Why don't you try a bag sale for cheaper clothing at your cheaper flea market. Bag for $5.00 . You get rid of a lot at one time; don't have to pay someone to haul it; don't have to dispose of yourself; don't have to GIVE it away. Win win.
