The three on the three was std equip on these trucks. The 4 speed on the floor was only available if you marked the box on the option sheet.

I had a 61 short bed fleece in way better shape than the one you have here. No bad rust at all.that I sold for $300. Still kickin myself. It had the straight 250 6cyl with three on the tree. Was a oil burner. It left a mile long smoke screen in its path. I wish I had it now. I was just a kid that knew nothing about cars, otherwise I would of fixed her up. It also had that goofy bubble top hood that I swapped out for the 64 hood. It needed paint so I just sprayed it with charcoal primer with white top cab. It even had the split rims. Dang I was dumb then.

Did they change the hood and grill in the middle of 62, I had a 62 for a short time when I was a kid and the front end looked just like this, dual headlights, same hood etc. ?

Say William. If you had a 62 it was marked wrong on the title. I, Ray, have 2 1961's and a 1962. This hood is the Apche 10 only in 60 and 61. In 62 GM changed the grill and hood. The hood was the same on Chevrolet and GMC from 62 to 66. The grills and emblems changed. If you had this type hood, it most likely was a 61 or someone put it on a 62. Just some facts.🙂
